Job summary

Milestone Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join our IT Development team. You will lead design and implementation across Java-based services and modern web apps, ensuring robust integration and scalable solutions.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in product development, strong Java/Spring/Angular/MVC experience, and hands-on experience with microservices and high-volume payment platforms. You will collaborate across functions in a fast-paced, global environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years of experience in a product development organization.
• Design and development experience in Java, Spring, Angular, MVC.
• Exposure to agile product development with microservices-based development and deployments.
• Experience handling production issues with high data volumes and speed.
• Experience in a payment/e-commerce environment and large-scale online transaction systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide integration and architecture expertise across SOA-based systems.
• Attend daily scrums and project/department meetings.
• Collaborate with product, QA, release, DBAs, and infra teams.
• Ramp up quickly on new technologies and processes.
• Hands-on development of SOA-related tasks for global consumption.
• Gather and document requirements with Product Management.
• Work with architecture teams on detailed specs.
• Collaborate in a highly team-driven environment.

Job Overview

Milestone Technologies is currently searching for a Lead Software Engineer candidate to join our IT Development team.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise with application and database integration technologies, including solution and service-oriented architectures
• Attend daily scrums, project meetings, and department meetings as required
• Liaise with Test Analysts, Product Management, Project Management, Release Management, DBAs, Infrastructure, and other project teams as required
• Ability to quickly ramp up on and apply new technologies and processes
• Hands-on development of SOA-related project tasks
• Analyzing, documenting & designing applications for global consumption
• Work with the Product Management team to help in the gathering and documentation of requirements
• Working with an architecture team to create detailed Functional and Technical Specification designs
• Work in a highly collaborative environment

Skills

• Minimum 4+ years of experience in a product development organization

• Exposure to working in agile product development mode using concepts such as micro-services-based development and deployments
• Experience dealing with mission-critical production issues in terms of data volumes and speed of data

Compensation

Estimated Pay Range: Exact compensation and offers of employment are dependent on circumstances of each case and will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, licenses or certifications, and location.
