Job summary

UST in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced platform engineer to own cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and SRE practices across multi-account environments. You will design, automate, and operate production systems with strong ownership and focus on reliability.

You will build and sustain CI/CD pipelines, write automation in Python/Bash, and contribute to shared platform capabilities used by multiple engineering teams, emphasising incident response and service health.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or systems engineering roles with strong ownership of production environments.
• Deep hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and services in a multi-environment or multi-account setup.
• Strong experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code, including reusable modules, environment promotion, and change control.
• Strong experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines, preferably in GitLab.
• Experience writing automation and tooling in Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages
• Solid background in cloud networking, IAM, secrets management, certificates, and secure service-to-service communication.
• Experience operating production observability stacks and using telemetry to improve reliability, incident response, and service health.
• Experience supporting or building shared platform capabilities used by multiple engineering teams.
• Strong judgment in troubleshooting distributed systems, deployment failures, configuration drift, and infrastructure bottlenecks.
