Position Summary

We are looking for a Platform Engineer to work as an Individual Contributor (IC) responsible for building, scaling, and operating cloud infrastructure and platform services. The ideal candidate will drive automation, reliability, and security across cloud environments while enabling engineering teams with reusable platform capabilities. This role requires strong expertise in AWS, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD, and distributed systems, along with a mindset of ownership and operational excellence.

Your Role Responsibilities and Duties

• Design, build, and manage scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, including reusable modules and environment templates
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth deployment and release management
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and operational workflows
• Manage cloud networking, IAM, secrets, and secure service-to-service communication
• Enhance platform reliability through monitoring, alerting, and observability tools
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues, deployment failures, and system bottlenecks
• Collaborate with engineering teams to create standardized deployment and onboarding frameworks
• Improve platform security using best practices like encryption, least privilege access, and compliance controls
• Support and maintain platform components such as API gateways, event streaming systems (Kafka), and observability stacks
• Create documentation, architecture designs, and operational guidelines
• Drive automation and reduce manual effort through self-service tools and standardized workflows
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices in cloud and platform engineering

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
• 7–12 years of experience in Platform Engineering / DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS services and cloud architecture
• Expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab preferred)
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or similar
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, IAM, and security best practices
• Experience with observability, monitoring, and incident management
• Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills in distributed systems
• Kubernetes or Terraform certifications are a plus.
