Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to design and evolve CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and platform standards. You will shape stable Dev, QA, Stage, and Prod environments and drive IaC-based automation across cloud and on-premises setups.

The role requires deep DevOps expertise, hands-on cloud/container experience, and a strong focus on reliability, security, and operational readiness. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and vendors is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable technical field.
• 8+ years of platform engineering, DevOps, cloud operations, or infrastructure experience.
• Strong knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and infrastructure concepts.
• Hands-on experience with cloud and/or on-premise platforms, containerization, and runtime environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and continuously evolve CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and platform engineering standards.
• Shape the setup, stabilization, and long-term improvement of Dev, QA, Stage, and Prod environments.
• Drive infrastructure automation through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and reusable platform patterns.
• Define and improve monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational transparency across the platform landscape.
• Strengthen platform reliability, scalability, recoverability, and security through robust engineering practices.
• Shape release readiness, rollback concepts, deployment quality controls, and operational handover standards.
• Take ownership of complex platform, deployment, and environment issues, including root-cause analysis and sustainable resolution.
• Drive automation, standardization, and operational discipline across the platform domain.
• Work closely with Frontend, Backend, QA, Support, Architects, and implementation partners.
• Create and maintain runbooks, platform standards, deployment procedures, and technical documentation.
• Enable end-to-end testing by shaping stable environments, deployment pipelines, platform quality gates, and test readiness for unit, functional, and integration testing, and support business-led UAT readiness where required.
• Collaborate with vendors and external service providers, review and validate platform-related changes, and support monitoring of service performance against agreed technical and operational KPIs.
• Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for platform, deployment, environment, pipeline, and observability-related topics in line with ITIL-based support processes
