Job summary

TalentAhead is seeking a Planning Engineer with a BE in Mechanical or Civil to lead baseline planning, prepare detailed construction programs and work method statements for refinery/oil & gas projects, and coordinate with site teams for proper implementation.

You will prepare risk assessments, monitor schedule and cost performance, generate weekly and monthly reports, develop recovery schedules, and support the project manager with value engineering, resource deployment and cash flow planning.

Qualifications

• Prepared baseline program for projects, preferably refinery oil & gas type projects.
• Demonstrate experience of planning projects of complex nature, including mechanical, piping, E&I activities.
• Preparation of detailed work method statements.
• Preparation of various reports for client and internal use.
• Carry out project controls.
• Carryout resource analysis.
• Proficient in earned value analysis.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the project manager for planning any alternative, value engineering proposals or changes.
• Prepare recovery schedules to mitigate delays in the project.
• Coordinate with other departments on relevant issues relating to the project.
