Job summary

Hanwha Ocean Energy Plant Unit is seeking a Senior Piping Designer to lead piping design and drafting for topside facilities in FPSO/Offshore projects. You will use AVEVA E3D/PDMS and AutoCAD, support Lead Engineers, and contribute to multi-discipline interfaces.

The role requires 10+ years in Oil & Gas, strong piping design expertise, and effective communication. On-site engagement with global teams in a dynamic EPC environment is expected.

Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years’ working experience with 3 years’ experience in Oil & Gas industries (FPSO contractor or Offshore/Onshore EPC contractor).
• Well versed with piping design tools such as AutoCAD, AVEVA / E3D / PDMS.

Responsibilities

• Support to Head of Discipline, Principal /Lead Engineer or Principal/Lead Designers.
• Conduct Piping Design and Drafting and 3D Modelling.
• Develop Piping Design Database in Engineering Management Platform.
• Preparation and review of piping study drawings, nozzle orientation drawings, Equipment Layout, Piping GA drawing, Isometric, line list, valve list, special support sketches, and item lists.
• Participation in 30%, 60%, 90% model reviews and comment closure.
• Review Vendor Documents, Engineering deliverables and Piping Deliverables.
• Prepare as-built Piping deliverables.
• Provide inputs to lead engineer to manage interface between multiple disciplines.
• Check final documentation prior to submission for approval to project piping lead

Position Overview:

• Senior Piping Designer Conducts Piping design and drafting under Principal/Lead Engineer or Principal/ Lead Designer supervision mainly for Topside facilities in FPSO/FLNG or Offshore facilities.
• The ideal candidate for the position will have a strong background in Offshore Oil & Gas Industry, be an expert in Topsides Piping Design, and Hands-on experience in Engineering Management Platform (AVEVA E3D/PDMS etc.)/AutoCAD.
• The strategic focus will also include providing support to Hanwha Ocean engineering teams based in USA/Netherland/Singapore/India and elsewhere as necessary including Conceptual, pre-FEED and FEED for projects in the offshore area in the future.

• Well Versed with Piping Design Tool such as AutoCAD, AVEVA / E3D/ PDMS.
• Ability to work with and to communicate effectively with co-workers and manage multiple priorities.
• Check cats and specs according to piping and valve material specification
• Provide bulk MTO and Valve MTO to LEAD piping engineer.
• Good understanding in English, with good oral and written communication skills
