Job summary

Hanwha Ocean is seeking a Piping Designer for Power Plant EPC Projects in Noida, India. The successful candidate will conduct piping design and drafting under the supervision of senior engineers, primarily for complex power plant projects.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in piping design and proficiency in AVEVA E3D, PDMS, and AutoCAD. Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential for this permanent position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in piping engineering design, drafting, and modeling.
• Experience with combined-cycle power plants is a plus.
• Prior involvement in large international EPC projects is preferred.

• Support Principal/Lead Engineer or Senior Designers in project tasks.

Position Overview

The Piping Designer conducts piping design and drafting under the supervision of a Principal/Lead Engineer or Senior Designer, primarily for combined‑cycle, gas engine, battery energy storage system (BESS), and renewable power plant EPC projects. The role requires proficiency in AVEVA E3D/PDMS, AutoCAD, and experience in engineering management platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Principal/Lead Engineer or Senior Designers in project tasks.
• Conduct piping design, drafting, and 3‑D modeling.
• Develop and maintain a piping design database in the engineering management platform.
• Prepare piping study drawings, nozzle orientations, equipment layouts, and general arrangement drawings.
• Participate in 3‑D model reviews and close comments.
• Review vendor documents, engineering deliverables, and piping deliverables.
• Prepare as‑built piping deliverables.
• Coordinate with other designers and disciplines to resolve minor layout and modeling issues under guidance.

Qualifications

• Minimum ITI/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in piping engineering design, drafting, and modeling.
• Experience with combined‑cycle power plants is a plus.
