Job summary

AXI Energy is seeking a Senior Pipeline Engineer to lead onshore/offshore pipeline activities for oil and gas EPCC projects, covering FEED through commissioning. The role requires steering multidisciplinary teams and ensuring design integrity.

Candidates should have 12+ years in pipeline engineering with strong ASME B31.4/B31.8, API, DNV, ISO standards experience and proficiency in CAESAR II, AutoPIPE, PIPESIM, and AVEVA E3D.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of pipeline engineering experience, preferably in oil and gas EPCC.
• Experience across FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning.
• Knowledge of pipeline materials, welding, coatings, corrosion protection and integrity.
• Proficiency in CAESAR II, AutoPIPE, PIPESIM and related tools.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead pipeline design, engineering calculations, specifications, data sheets, and technical reports.
• Perform or review hydraulic, wall-thickness, stress, stability, expansion, and buckling analyses.
• Review pipeline routes, alignment sheets, crossings, tie-ins, material take-offs, and construction drawings.
• Prepare material specifications and technical bid evaluations.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Participate in design, constructability, HAZID, HAZOP, and risk reviews.
• Support pipeline installation, welding, testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements and standards such as ASME B31.4, B31.8, API, DNV, ISO, and NACE/AMPP.
• Resolve technical queries and mentor junior engineers.

Role Overview

• Proficiency in relevant software such as CAESAR II, AutoPIPE, PIPESIM, PipelineStudio, Synergi Pipeline Simulator, AVEVA E3D/PDMS, Smart 3D, AutoCAD Plant 3D, AutoCAD, or Navisworks.
• Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Professional or Chartered Engineer status is an advantage.
