Supreme Hospital is seeking an experienced Senior Pathologist / Consultant Pathologist to head the Department of Pathology as HOD. The ideal candidate will drive diagnostic excellence with hands-on supervision across Hematology, Cytology, Clinical Biochemistry and Histopathology.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in diagnostic pathology and leadership of a pathology department.
• Knowledge of NABL requirements and ISO 15189 quality standards.
• Hands-on expertise with supervision across Hematology, Cytology, Histopathology and Clinical Biochemistry.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Pathology Department and ensure smooth day-to-day laboratory operations.
• Review, interpret and authorize pathology and laboratory reports with high diagnostic accuracy.
• Provide expertise and supervision in Hematology, Cytology, Histopathology and Clinical Biochemistry.
• Handle complex cases and provide clinical correlation and diagnostic consultation to clinicians.
• Ensure compliance with NABL requirements and ISO 15189 standards.
• Monitor IQC, EQA/PT, quality indicators, CAPA, SOPs and laboratory documentation.
• Lead and support NABL audits, internal audits and quality improvement activities.
• Supervise, train and assess the competency of Pathologists, technicians and laboratory staff.
• Monitor Turnaround Time (TAT), critical values and overall laboratory performance.
• Coordinate with clinicians, hospital management and other departments to ensure quality patient care.

The ideal candidate will have 810 years of relevant experience, strong expertise in diagnostic pathology, and comprehensive knowledge of NABL requirements and ISO 15189 quality standards. The candidate will be responsible for clinical oversight, report validation, quality assurance, laboratory operations, team leadership and maintaining high standards of diagnostic accuracy.
