ROLE OVERVIEW

Socommerz Technologies is seeking a Senior Technical Supply Chain Management Specialist [DBA] to join our delivery team, embedded with our end client SymphonyAI - a global leader in enterprise AI solutions for industrial and retail verticals. This role is central to the technical delivery, support, and continuous improvement of SymphonyAI's Retail SCM platform across production environments.

The ideal candidate combines deep Oracle/PL/SQL expertise with hands-on SCM domain knowledge in retail forecasting and replenishment, and can operate confidently as both a technical advisor and a platform specialist across large-scale enterprise engagements.

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS

All criteria below are non-negotiable. Applications not meeting these thresholds will not be considered.

1. Oracle SQL and PL/SQL (5+ Years)

• Advanced Oracle SQL - complex joins, analytical/window functions, query optimization.
• PL/SQL - stored procedures, packages, triggers, cursors, exception handling.
• ProC/C integration development and debugging.
• Linux/Unix shell scripting for automation, monitoring, and operational support.

2. Batch Processing and Job Management (4+ Years)

• Design and management of batch workflows with inter-job dependencies.
• Performance tuning of long-running batch cycles for throughput and stability.
• Proactive monitoring, alerting, and structured incident response.
• Hands-on troubleshooting of batch failures in production environments.

3. Retail Domain Expertise (4+ Years)

• Deep understanding of retail operations - merchandising, inventory management, and supply chain flows.
• Familiarity with retail data models, product hierarchies, and seasonal demand patterns.

4. SCM Platform Hands-On Experience (4+ Years)

• Production-level experience with an enterprise SCM solution (e.g., SymphonyAI Retail, JDA/Blue Yonder, Oracle Retail SCM, or equivalent).
• Coverage of core retail modules and forecasting/replenishment engines.
• Broad functional and technical platform knowledge enabling cross-module advisory.

5. Technical Advisory Track Record

• Demonstrated history of leading or contributing to platform version upgrades and migrations.
• Involvement in major release cycles from planning through hypercare.

6. Good to have : Core Java or Java Script

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Platform Technical Operations

• Own and execute complex Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development, debugging, and performance tuning across SCM production environments.
• Manage batch processing workflows including job scheduling, dependency mapping, monitoring, and incident resolution.
• Lead integration troubleshooting across ProC/C, Linux/shell scripting, and middleware components.
• Perform root-cause analysis for production issues and implement durable, scalable fixes.

SCM Functional and Technical Advisory

• Serve as a technical advisor on platform upgrades, data migrations, and major release rollouts.
• Provide broad functional knowledge across core Retail SCM modules - demand forecasting, inventory replenishment, and supply planning.
• Partner with business stakeholders and client teams to translate functional requirements into platform configurations and technical solutions.
• Document technical standards, runbooks, and knowledge-base articles for platform operations.

Collaboration and Delivery

• Liaise between onshore and offshore teams, managing escalations and ensuring SLA adherence.
• Participate in release planning, regression validation, and post-deployment verification.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying automation and optimization opportunities across batch, integration, and reporting layers.

PREFERRED - HANDS-ON SKILLS

Candidates with the following will have a competitive advantage:

• Java or JavaScript - application-level integration, custom scripting, or API development in a supply chain or retail context.
• Exposure to REST/SOAP API integration patterns within SCM platforms.
• Experience with reporting or analytics layers (OBIEE, BI Publisher, or equivalent).
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) in the context of SCM deployments.
• Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
