Job summary

PDSL in Hyderabad seeks a Senior Optical Design Engineer with 8+ years in automotive exterior lighting to own optical development from RFQ to manufacturing, covering headlamps, rear lamps, DRLs and signature lighting systems.

You will use LucidShape, Ansys SPEOS or LightTools, ensure compliance with ECE, FMVSS and AIS/CMVR, and lead cross‑discipline collaboration on advanced technologies such as ADB, Matrix and Pixel lighting for global programmes.

Qualifications

• Over 8 years in optical design for automotive exterior lighting.
• Experience delivering series-production lighting systems.
• Proficient with LucidShape, Ansys SPEOS or LightTools.
• Strong knowledge of ECE, FMVSS and AIS/CMVR regulations.

Responsibilities

• Own optical development from RFQ to manufacturing for headlamps, rear lamps, DRLs and signature lighting.
• Lead cross-disciplinary teams across global programmes (Europe, North America, India).
