Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd. in Khadki, Pune, is seeking a Senior Officer/Senior Engineer (MG4) for the Base Engine Department in the R&D Business Unit. The role requires 6–8 years of hands-on engine emissions testing, bench operation, data analysis and reporting, with exposure to regulatory witness testing and NABL basics.

You will work on emission test cycles, optimize tests, and contribute to safety and accuracy in testing. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is required.

Formación

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 6–8 years in engine emissions testing.
• Hands-on emission test bench operation and test setup.
• Experience in emission data analysis, validation and reporting.
• Drive bench efficiency, test optimization and downtime reduction.
• Knowledge of CPCB-IV+, BSV, and NABL ISO 17025 basics.

Job Description

• Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: 6-8 years of relevant experience in engine emissions testing.
• Hands-on experience in engine emission test bench operation, engine installation, test setup and troubleshooting.
• Experience in emission test data analysis, validation, interpretation and technical report preparation.
• Ability to drive test bench efficiency improvement, test optimization and downtime reduction.
• Working knowledge of applicable emission regulations, including CPCB-IV+ for Genset engines and BSV for CEV engines.
• Basic understanding of engine aftertreatment systems, such as DOC,DPF,SCR and EGR.
• Basic knowledge of Engine Calibration tool preferably INCA or equivalent.
• Exposure to emission certification, type approval, Cop and regulatory witness testing.

Skills:

• Proficiency in engine emission test bench operation and emission testing procedures.
• Knowledge of emission measurement, data acquisition, validation, analysis and reporting.
• Hands-on experience with emission testing software and tools such as AVL Puma-2,Horiba Stars and Iasys Orbit-E
• Good understanding of steady state and transient emission test cycles ( 5 Mode,8 Mode,3 Mode, NTE,NRTC,RMC).
• Strong understanding of emission testing protocols, regulatory requirements & safety standards.
• Working knowledge of NABL accreditation requirements as per ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standards for testing laboratories.
• Strong root cause analysis & trouble shooting skills related to test-bench instrumentation and emission testing issues.
• Good technical documentation, communication and coordination skills.
