Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for Emission Compliance & certification, Domestic COP testing of “off road” engines for different product segments.
- Apply and stay updated on “Applicable Emission regulation information & Compliance methodology.”
- Keep updated on applicable test procedures & maintain an ongoing relationship with test authorities.
Engine Testing
- Plan New Model testing from planning phase to monitoring.
- Prepare documentation for submission to TA and coordinate Testing Agency for testing dates.
- Conduct tests as per procedures, standards & regulations.
- Analyze test results and generate reports.
- Plan & coordinate COP activities.
- Submit Annual COP plan and prepare documentation for COP.
- Coordinate with Testing Agency for COP selection & testing.
- Coordinate with teams to develop testing & certification plans.
- Manage Engine vehicle logistics (warehouse to Testing Agency movement).
- Ensure engine & mounting preparation before testing.
- Identify and rectify problems in engine before offering for testing.
- Verify engine parts after testing and collect certificates.
- Conduct Engine Endurance & durability testing for certifications (e.g., CIFT, SFMRTTI).
Homologation
- Provide regulation information to product planning departments and design & performance engineers.
- Support team regarding emissions durability matters.
- Perform in‑use emissions compliance tests to confirm legal & internal requirements.
- Secure & maintain engine certificates.
- Support certification testing in presence of Authority.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education and Work Experience Requirements
- Previous emission testing experience is required.
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and complete assignments within prescribed routines and standard practices.
- Education – B. Tech/B. E.
- Experience – 8–12 years in diesel engine companies.
