Job summary

Johnson Electric Group in India (Chennai) is seeking an Engineer - QMS to monitor and drive the Quality Management System at JEPL. You will represent the customer on site, address quality issues quickly, and lead internal audits across QMS, process, and product areas to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

You will coordinate risk assessments, drive CAPA actions, and apply 8D/PDCA/FTA methodologies to resolve issues, with monthly reporting to global functions.

Qualifications

• Experience with QMS audits (internal, process, product) and PPAP.
• Familiarity with 8D/PDCA/FTA methodologies.
• Ability to coordinate risk assessment and contingency planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Monitor the Quality Management System in JEPL.
• Be the customer representative on the premises and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Provide quick response and follow up on abnormal situations at workshop.
• Lead the Internal audit Management (QMS audit / Process audit / Product audit) schedule and perform as required.
• Perform Internal/Process/Product and Layer-Process audits and Countermeasure-Effectiveness Verification monthly.
• Ensure audit NC analysis and closure (W3) as per timeline.
• Communicate customer-specific requirements across the plant.
• Coordinate department-wise risk assessment and contingency planning.
• Lead root cause analysis for development and zero km (SOP + SafeLaunch) using 8D/PDCA/FTA.
• Provide monthly reports and product data to JEPL HQ/China/Europe to help analyze issues and prevent recurrence.
