Sr. Officer Global Sourcing
Objective of the Position
To support and execute global sourcing and procurement activities across assigned categories and regions, ensuring competitive costs, quality, timely supply, and effective supplier performance. The role will contribute to supplier development, cost optimization, market analysis, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with procurement policies and organizational requirements.

Qualification
- Bachelors Degree / Diploma in Engineering or a relevant technical discipline.
- Qualification in Materials Management, Supply Chain Management, Procurement or a related field will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in Global Sourcing, Strategic Procurement, Purchasing, or Supply Chain Management.
- Experience in supplier development, commercial negotiations, cost analysis, sourcing, and procurement operations will be preferred.
- Exposure to international suppliers, global markets, and import procurement will be an added advantage.

Preferably below 40 years of age.

Role & Responsibility
Global CAPEX & Spare Parts Sourcing
- Execute and coordinate global sourcing activities for CAPEX, spare parts, and recurring purchases.
- Manage sourcing activities including supplier identification, RFQ/RFP, commercial evaluation, negotiations, supplier selection, and development.
- Support sourcing of critical CAPEX packages and ensure timely commercial closure in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate CAPEX requirements, purchase orders, deliveries, and execution for the Goa plant in collaboration with the Engineering and relevant 3B teams.
- Support consolidation and tracking of CAPEX budgets, purchase commitments, savings, and budget utilization.
- Drive Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) optimization for spare parts through sourcing from competitive markets, including India and China.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, supplier development, price benchmarking, and alternate sourcing for CAPEX and spare parts.
Chemical Raw Material Procurement
- Execute procurement of chemical raw materials in line with approved forecasts, sourcing strategies, inventory norms, and business requirements.
- Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for Asian chemical suppliers, including sourcing and procurement support for plant operations.
- Ensure timely availability of materials while maintaining inventory levels in accordance with SCM policies, SOPs, and business requirements.
- Coordinate with Stores, Operations, Planning, Quality, and other relevant functions to ensure uninterrupted material supply.
- Monitor material requirements and ensure timely indent updating, enquiry generation, RFQ follow-up, comparative analysis, and Purchase Order release.
- Track materials from source to site, including supplier follow-up, transportation, logistics, and required documentation.
- Ensure timely completion and filing of import, statutory, and legal documentation.
- Coordinate with suppliers for replacement of rejected materials, credit notes, claims, and other commercial resolutions.
- Proactively communicate supply risks, delays, shortages, and other criticalities to relevant stakeholders.
Supplier & Commercial Management
- Identify, evaluate, develop, and maintain relationships with global and regional suppliers.
- Conduct commercial negotiations covering price, payment terms, lead time, delivery terms, and other contractual conditions.
- Monitor supplier performance related to cost, quality, delivery, service, and responsiveness.
- Conduct price benchmarking and market analysis to identify cost optimization and alternate sourcing opportunities.
- Support supplier development initiatives to improve competitiveness, quality, supply reliability, and TCO.
Procurement Operations & SAP
- Ensure timely processing of Purchase Orders, enquiries, approvals, and related procurement documentation.
- Execute procurement-related activities in SAP and ensure accuracy and completeness of system transactions.
- Maintain appropriate procurement records and ensure timely submission of required reports and documentation.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual sourcing/procurement reports, including spend, savings, supplier performance, and procurement status.
- Ensure adherence to approved procurement policies, procedures, SOPs, and internal controls.
Cost Optimization & Process Improvement
- Identify and implement opportunities for cost reduction, inventory optimization, transportation cost reduction, and process improvement.
- Support initiatives for supplier consolidation, alternate sourcing, localization, price benchmarking, and value engineering.
- Monitor procurement and supply-chain costs against approved objectives and support corrective actions wherever required.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Global Sourcing / SCM function.
- Identify opportunities to improve procurement efficiency through process standardization, data analysis, and digital/SAP-enabled solutions.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate effectively with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, Stores, Planning, Logistics, and other internal stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure timely procurement.
- Coordinate with global and regional teams to align sourcing strategies, supplier requirements, pricing, and procurement objectives.
- Maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure timely resolution of sourcing and supply‑related issues.
- Build strong working relationships with stakeholders and suppliers to support business continuity and continuous improvement.
Compliance, Audit & Governance
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, procurement procedures, applicable statutory requirements, and ethical sourcing standards.
- Maintain appropriate documentation for internal, statutory, and external audits and support closure of audit observations.
- Ensure timely submission and maintenance of import, statutory, legal, and procurement‑related documentation.
- Support implementation and maintenance of applicable management systems and compliance requirements.
Health, Safety & Sustainability
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment within the SCM function and ensure compliance with applicable safety requirements.
- Follow applicable Indian laws, company policies, safety procedures, and management-system requirements.
- Support initiatives related to quality, environment, energy efficiency, occupational health & safety, and sustainability within sourcing and procurement activities.
- Incorporate responsible sourcing, environmental considerations, and safety requirements wherever applicable in supplier selection and procurement decisions.
