Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a backend or full-stack developer with a focus on Node.js.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Develop high-performance applications with testable, reusable, and efficient code.

Extensive experience designing, building, and operating production Node.js services in TypeScript

Deep understanding of the Node.js runtime, including event-loop behavior, profiling, and performance tuning

Experience designing event-driven systems with Kafka: partitioning, ordering guarantees, idempotent processing, dead-letter queues

Experience with zero-downtime database schema migrations and query/connection-pool tuning under load

Experience with distributed tracing and observability (OpenTelemetry, Datadog), including defining SLOs and error budgets

Strong knowledge of API security, including OWASP API Top 10 and OAuth2/OIDC flows

Experience leading technical design and incident response for services in production
