Job summary

BEO Software Private Limited is seeking an experienced Senior Node.js Developer to design and build scalable backend services for our payment platform. You will work with modern cloud technologies, AWS, and event-driven architectures to deliver secure, high-performance solutions.

You will actively contribute to architectural decisions, develop, test, and document functionality, and collaborate in a small, self-directed Scrum team while ensuring robust backend design and performance.

Qualifications

• Several years of professional experience as a Node.js Backend Developer.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Solid understanding of software architecture and backend design principles.
• In-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL, including SQL optimization and query performance tuning.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architectures and message queues (AWS SQS or RabbitMQ).
• Hands-on experience with AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, SQS, SAM).
• Proficiency in Docker and Docker Compose.
• Familiarity with Redis and caching concepts.
• Proficient English.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

• Professional software development using Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, SQS, SAM), REST APIs, and event-driven architectures
• AI supported development process with Claude
• Active shaping of the software architecture and contributions to design decisions
• Developing, testing, and documenting the planned functionality
• Working in a small, self-reliant Scrum team
• Documentation of planning and implementation processes in the project management software Jira and Confluence
