Algoleap Technologies seeks an experienced Senior NetApp Infrastructure & Storage Architect to lead the design, implementation, and operational readiness of a highly available enterprise storage platform deployed across two physically separated fire zones/sites.

The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in NetApp ONTAP, MetroCluster architecture, enterprise storage networking, disaster recovery, and resilient infrastructure design within mission-critical environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with NetApp ONTAP.
• Strong experience with NetApp MetroCluster architectures.
• Understanding of enterprise storage networking, VLANs and traffic segregation, redundancy and failover models.
• Experience with NFS, SMB/CIFS, iSCSI, NVMe/TCP.
• Experience designing multi-site resilient storage platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and validate NetApp ONTAP and MetroCluster-based storage architectures across multiple fire zones/sites.
• Define network segregation models for management traffic, cluster communication, replication traffic, client/application access, backup and DR traffic.
• Develop resilient and scalable storage design patterns.
• Create High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs).
• Define redundancy, failover, and disaster recovery strategies.

Senior NetApp Infrastructure & Storage Architect MetroCluster / Enterprise Resiliency

Overview

We are seeking an experienced NetApp Infrastructure & Storage Architect to lead the design, implementation, and operational readiness of a highly available enterprise storage platform deployed across two physically separated fire zones/sites.

The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in NetApp ONTAP, MetroCluster architecture, enterprise storage networking, disaster recovery, and resilient infrastructure design within mission-critical environments.

The role requires close collaboration with infrastructure, networking, virtualization, security, and operations teams to deliver a scalable, secure, and operationally mature storage platform.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Design

• Design and validate NetApp ONTAP and MetroCluster-based storage architectures across multiple fire zones/sites.
• Define network segregation models for:
• Management traffic
• Cluster communication
• Replication traffic
• Client/application access
• Backup and DR traffic
• Develop resilient and scalable storage design patterns.
• Create High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs).
• Define redundancy, failover, and disaster recovery strategies.

NetApp Storage Implementation

• Deploy and configure NetApp storage platforms.
• Implement and validate MetroCluster synchronous replication.
• Configure and manage:
• Aggregates
• Storage Virtual Machines (SVMs)
• Logical Interfaces (LIFs)
• NFS, SMB, iSCSI, and NVMe/TCP services
• Snapshot, SnapMirror, and SnapVault policies
• Support storage provisioning, migration, and lifecycle management activities.
• Validate performance, resiliency, and operational readiness.

Networking & Infrastructure Integration

• Work closely with network teams to:
• Define VLANs and traffic segregation
• Validate replication network connectivity
• Implement redundancy and QoS policies
• Ensure low-latency MetroCluster communication
• Support integration with:
• Virtualization platforms
• Container platforms
• Backup and DR solutions
• Monitoring and observability tools

Monitoring & Operations

• Integrate NetApp platforms with enterprise monitoring solutions.
• Configure:
• SNMP monitoring
• Event forwarding
• Capacity and performance monitoring
• Alerting and reporting
• Support operational documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer activities.
• Participate in incident troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

Disaster Recovery & Resiliency

• Conduct MetroCluster switchover and failback testing.
• Validate Zero RPO replication functionality.
• Support disaster recovery planning and operational readiness exercises.
• Ensure platform resiliency and business continuity objectives are met.

Required Skills & Experience

Mandatory

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with NetApp ONTAP
• Strong experience with NetApp MetroCluster architectures
• Strong understanding of:
• Enterprise storage networking
• VLANs and traffic segregation
• Redundancy and failover models
• Synchronous and asynchronous replication
• Experience with:
• NFS
• SMB/CIFS
• iSCSI
• NVMe/TCP
• Experience designing multi-site resilient storage platforms
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

Preferred

• Experience integrating NetApp with virtualization and container platforms
• Experience with monitoring and observability platforms

• Familiarity with automation and infrastructure-as-code concepts
• NetApp certifications preferred (NCDA, NCIE, etc.)
• Experience in regulated or mission-critical environments
