Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience managing enterprise NetApp storage systems.
  • Hands-on experience with NetApp ONTAP 9.x or higher.
  • Proficiency in SnapMirror, SnapVault, SnapCenter, and Data ONTAP CLI/GUI.
  • Experience with SAN (FC, iSCSI) and NAS (NFS, CIFS) protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, configure, and manage NetApp ONTAP-based storage systems.
  • Manage SnapMirror, SnapVault, SnapCenter, Snapshots, and other data protection technologies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve storage-related issues across the infrastructure.
  • Monitor storage utilization and generate reports for management.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.

Job description

We are seeking a skilled NetApp Storage Administrator to manage, monitor, and support the enterprise NetApp storage infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure the availability, performance, and security of storage systems while collaborating with cross‑functional IT teams to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, configure, and manage NetApp ONTAP‑based storage systems (AFF, FAS, E‑Series, etc.).
  • Perform regular health checks, capacity planning, and performance tuning of storage systems.
  • Manage SnapMirror, SnapVault, SnapCenter, Snapshots, and other NetApp data protection technologies.
  • Implement and manage SAN/NAS storage environments, including zoning, LUN provisioning, and NFS/CIFS shares.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve storage‑related issues across the infrastructure.
  • Work with VMware administrators and application teams to provide required storage and optimize usage.
  • Plan and perform firmware upgrades, patches, and system migrations with minimal downtime.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Monitor storage utilization and generate reports for management.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
  • Ensure storage solutions adhere to corporate security and compliance policies.
  • Provide on‑call support as part of a rotation schedule.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience managing enterprise NetApp storage systems.
  • Hands‑on experience with NetApp ONTAP 9.x or higher.
  • Proficiency in SnapMirror, SnapVault, SnapCenter, and Data ONTAP CLI/GUI.
  • Experience with SAN (FC, iSCSI) and NAS (NFS, CIFS) protocols.
  • Familiarity with NetApp Active IQ, Cloud Insights, and Unified Manager.
  • Understanding of VMware integration with storage environments.
  • Knowledge of backup & replication strategies in NetApp environments.
  • Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Python, Bash) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools and ITIL processes.
  • Good understanding of networking concepts related to storage (Ethernet, Fibre Channel, VLANs, etc.).
  • Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with Cloud‑connected storage (AWS, Azure NetApp Files, CVO).
  • Experience with data migration tools and methodologies.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field — or equivalent experience.
