Job summary

Vertiv Energy Pvt Ltd in Pune is seeking a Senior Engineer MCAD to drive New Product Development for its Liquid Cooling business. You will collaborate with product designers to develop mechanical solutions for Thermal products, focusing on sheet metal and piping and ensuring robust, manufacturable designs.

The role requires 3–7 years in mechanical product development, strong CAD skills (CREO) and MB(D) modeling, BOM creation and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–7 years of engineering product development or support experience.
• Strong credential of working on Mechanical Design tools; MBD experience preferred; CREO preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in a multi-disciplinary engineering team for New product development.
• Design solutions focusing on mechanical aspects (sheet metal and piping).
• Create and review CAD drawings, specifications, and BOMs.

The Mechanical Engineer works closely with product designer to develop / support new product development of Liquid Cooling – Thermal Product Business Unit

Job Summary

Responsibilities

Work in a multi-disciplinary engineering team for New product development, Engineering to order for following ranges of units: Liquid Cooling Product, i.e. Cooling Distribution Unit, Out Door Heat Rejection Chiller Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC), In Row Mobile To design solutions with a focus on the mechanical aspects (mainly sheet metal and piping), collaborating with suppliers, Procurement, and Industrial Engineering, being aware of the necessary product marketing inputs.

To create and review product documentation (CAD drawings, specifications, bills of material).

To meet objectives of cost, quality, environment and time of execution, achieving the best trade-off between market and internal customer needs.

To analyze and resolve technical problems as regards products under his/her responsibility; improving, updating, reviewing the mechanical drawings according to the information from the Production, Procurement and Logistics departments, so as to simplify the assembly, reducing the costs and improving the quality.

A high level of experienced CAD skill, combined with a good attention to details. Model based definition in CAD. Design using Cero has added advantage. Knowledge on data management, problem solving techniques, Pugh matrix analysis, DFMEA, DFA/DFM/DFS design for cost and serviceability.

Education & Certifications

Bachelor In Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Requirements

3~7 years of engineering product development or support experience. Strong credential of working on Mechanical Design tools, MBD (Model Based Definition) experience preferred CREO preferred Significant Sheetmetal design experience Working knowledge of mechanical concepts, products, safety and test-methods. Data-entry systems familiarity & Bill of Material Creation Experience - Oracle, Agile, etc. Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve (and prevent) a wide range of problems quickly and logically. Excellent planning, organizing, documentation, and communication skills. Ability to multitask and operate in cross functional Global Development Teams. Fluency in English
