Job summary

Vertiv is seeking an experienced electrical/electronics engineer to own electrical architecture, power distribution, controls, wiring, and system integration for liquid cooling and thermal management solutions.

The role involves producing harness layouts, maintaining BOMs, and coordinating with vendors and certification bodies to ensure compliance with CE and UL standards. You will work with regional and global teams to drive product success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering.
• Experience with electrical drawings and harness layouts.
• Proficiency with EPLAN, Solid Edge or Creo preferred.
• Knowledge of CE/UL safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Produce electrical drawings and harness layouts based on requirements from stakeholders or customers.
• Develop, update, and maintain BOM for electrical components across multiple product lines.
• Coordinate with vendors to identify, evaluate, and qualify alternate supply sources.
• Provide hands-on engineering support during prototyping and production activities.
• Partner with Controls engineering to ensure integration of electrical and control systems.
• Interface with certification bodies to drive product approvals and ensure standards compliance.

Liquid Cooling | Thermal Management

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering Role Purpose
Responsible for the electrical and electronics engineering , including electrical architecture, power distribution, controls, sensors, wiring, and system integration.
Key Responsibilities

• Produce accurate and high-quality engineering drawings and harness layouts based on requirements received from internal stakeholders or external customers.
• Develop, update, and maintain the Bill of Materials (BOM) for electrical components across multiple product lines.
• Co-ordinate with component vendors to identify, evaluate, and qualify alternate supply sources.
• Provide hands-on engineering support during prototyping and production activities at the manufacturing plant across multiple product lines.
• Partner closely with the Controls engineering team to ensure seamless integration of electrical and control systems.
• Interface with external certification bodies to drive product approvals and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
• Collaborate effectively with regional and global engineering teams within and outside the organization.
• Proficiency in electrical engineering drawing tools such as EPLAN, Solid Edge, or Creo is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to develop wiring diagrams and harness designs.
• Sound knowledge of electrical components commonly used in Pumps, VFDs, Fans, Transformers, SMPS, Relays, Actuators, PLC systems, and Sensors.
• Hands-on experience in electrical component selection and qualification of alternate vendor components.
• Ability to support prototype development and validation of electrical panel assemblies.
• Working knowledge of international electrical safety and compliance standards, including CE and UL.
• Understanding of electrical and control component integration principles.

Technical Skill Sets

Preferred Experience

• Experience in Liquid Cooling, HVAC, Thermal Management, Data Center Cooling, or similar products.
