Job summary

Jobitus seeks a Senior Material Planner for its Shendra MIDC plant in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. The role focuses on end-to-end planning, SAP-driven MRP, and inventory optimization to keep engine manufacturing on track.

You will manage master data, monitor stock health, and coordinate with suppliers while implementing ECOs and resolving IDoc issues to prevent production disruptions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level/masters degree required with 5–9 years experience in material planning in automotive/heavy engineering settings.
• SAP MM and SAP PP expertise is essential; strong BOM/batch management knowledge included.
• Experience with MRP runs, MD04, and procurement lifecycle (PR/PO) is required.

Responsibilities

• Execute SAP MRP runs (MD01/MD02) to generate material schedules.
• Monitor stock/requirements with MD04 and correct anomalies.
• Convert planned orders to PRs and track POs for on-time delivery.

Job Description: Senior Material Planner

Location: Shendra MIDC, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad), Maharashtra
Salary Budget: Up to ₹12 Lakhs Per Annum (LPA)
Position Purpose

To oversee the end-to-end planning, scheduling, and procurement of materials required to support engine manufacturing production lines. The candidate will leverage deep SAP expertise to drive Material Requirements Planning (MRP), optimize working capital through inventory control, and mitigate supply chain risks.

Key Responsibilities & SAP Functions

1. Material Requirements Planning (MRP) & Execution

• Execute Planning Runs: Run and analyze SAP MRP (MD01/MD02) regularly to generate precise material/component schedules.
• Manage Requirements: Utilize SAP MD04 (Stock/Requirements List) to monitor real-time supply-demand gaps and correct anomalies.
• Procurement Lifecycle: Convert planned orders into Purchase Requisitions (PR) and track Purchase Orders (PO) to ensure on-time delivery from suppliers.

1. Inventory Optimization & Parameters Management

• Master Data Maintenance: Establish and update critical planning parameters in the SAP Material Master (MRP Views 1-4), including safety stock levels, reorder points, lot sizes, and lead times.
• Inventory Control: Monitor inventory health metrics (Days of Supply, Slow-Moving/Obsolete inventory, Scrap reduction) to align with company working capital targets.
• Exception Handling: Actively clear SAP Exception Messages (e.g., reschedule in/out, cancel orders) to maintain system integrity.

1. Supplier Management & Logistics Coordination

• Expediting Logistics: Partner with regional and international suppliers to resolve material shortages affecting production continuity.
• Inbound Monitoring: Tracking advance shipping notices (ASNs) and troubleshooting internal SAP IDoc transmission errors between suppliers and the plant
• Engineering Changes: Coordinate with the Engineering team to implement Engineering Change Orders (ECO) in SAP, mitigating material obsolescence.

Profile Requirements

• Education B.E. / B.Tech (Mechanical / Production / Automobile) or MBA in Supply Chain / Operations.
• Experience 5 – 9 years of core material planning experience in an automotive, engine manufacturing, or heavy engineering plant.
• Technical Skill Core expertise in SAP MM (Materials Management) and SAP PP (Production Planning) modules.
• Core Skills Deep understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM), Batch Management, Demand Forecasting, and Lean Manufacturing principles (Kanban, JIT).
