Job summary

Randstad in Pune, India seeks an experienced Specialist in Materials Planning for a contract role to manage material availability, optimize inventory, and support high-volume manufacturing to meet delivery schedules. You will analyze demand forecasts, align supply, manage BOM/ECO lifecycles, and collaborate with procurement and production teams using Kinaxis and ERP systems such as SAP/Oracle.

You will optimize inventory health, track shortages, and drive planning efficiency through MRP/MPS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in materials planning and supply chain.
• Strong knowledge of MRP/MPS and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/BAAN).
• Experience with BOM and ECO lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

Specialist - GBS Planning (Contract Role)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Specialist in Materials Planning to support high-volume manufacturing operations. In this contract role, you will be responsible for managing material availability, optimizing inventory, analyzing demand forecasts, and ensuring smooth production execution to meet delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Supply & Demand Alignment: Analyze customer demand forecasts using normalization, comparison, and waterfall methods to align supply with operational requirements.
• Materials Planning & Execution: Ensure kit readiness, manage work orders based on build plans, and support production schedules.
• Inventory Optimization: Oversee inventory health by managing excess and obsolete materials, as well as handling MRB/DR processes.
• Shortage Management: Track and monitor material shortages via regular reporting and collaborate closely with procurement and buying teams for timely resolution.
• System & Lifecycle Support: Utilize MRP/MPS methodologies and ERP tools to drive planning efficiency while supporting BOM and ECO lifecycle management.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in materials planning and supply chain functions.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of MRP/MPS concepts, advanced planning tools (e.g., Kinaxis), and ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, or BAAN).
• Domain Expertise: Solid understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM) management and Engineering Change Order (ECO) lifecycles.
