Job summary

RGBSI in Ahmedabad seeks a results-driven Production Engineer to streamline manufacturing processes, review schedules, and design efficient production layouts. You will generate BOMs, apply CP methods, and drive cost reductions through standardization and control systems.

You will collaborate with management to set standards, train staff, and implement technology upgrades. The role emphasizes lean transformation, process documentation, and continuous improvement across the plant.

Responsibilities

• Designing production processes that maximize efficiency and reduce waste.
• Developing and implementing process improvements and technological upgrades.
• Designing control systems to minimize costs and production issues.
• Developing design and production standards in cooperation with management and user personnel.
• Preparing material and equipment lists, cost analyses, and estimated production costs.
• Designing the layout of facilities and determining personnel requirements.
• Training staff for new processes and providing instructions and manuals.
• Managing process documentation.
• Implements controls to monitor costs and minimize production issues.
• Lean transformation.
• Workstation /Line Balancing and Operator work balancing.
• Designing and Establishment of ProCert Tools, Gauges, Instruments
• Technology transfer and Bench Marking
• Selection, Procurement, & installation of Equipments, Jigs, Fixture
• Troubleshoot and implement corrective actions on a timely basis.
• Assess the manpower that will be required to make the product.
• Continues Improvement Projects Like, Cycle time reduction / Productivity Improvement / OPS / Ergonomic Improvements/Quality Improvement etc.
• Apply statistical process control methods for analysing data to evaluate process.
