Greythr is seeking a hands-on Site Manager to lead on-site MEP activities for testing and commissioning of data centre projects. You will oversee a team of engineers and technicians, coordinate testing of power, HVAC, and safety systems, and ensure work aligns with specifications, budget, and schedule.
The role requires strong leadership, on-site management, and a solid understanding of IEC/NEC standards, with close collaboration with clients and stakeholders to achieve successful project
1. Site Management: Lead, manage, and coordinate all MEP activities on-site during the testing and commissioning phase of Data Centre projects. Ensure that the electrical works are completed according to the project specifications, on schedule, and within the allocated budget.
2. Team Leadership: Supervise a team of electrical/Mechanical engineers, technicians, and subcontractors. Provide guidance, direction, and support to ensure that the team works efficiently and safely to meet project goals.
3. Testing & Commissioning Coordination: Oversee and ensure the successful testing and commissioning of all MEP systems, including power distribution units, UPS systems, backup generators, lighting, electrical panels, and other critical MEP infrastructure and HVAC,fire fighting
4. Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensure all MEP testing and commissioning activities comply with applicable national/international standards (IEC, NEC, etc.), project specifications, and regulatory requirements.
5. Documentation & Reporting: Ensure that all testing and commissioning activities are thoroughly documented. Maintain and review testing reports, as-built documentation, and completion certificates. Prepare progress reports for stakeholders and address any discrepancies promptly.
6. Problem Solving & Troubleshooting: Manage and resolve any MEP issues encountered during testing and commissioning, working with the project team to implement corrective actions as necessary.
7. Client and Stakeholder Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, project managers, and contractors. Regularly update clients on the status of testing and commissioning activities, address queries, and ensure client satisfaction throughout the commissioning process.
8. Safety & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with site safety procedures and implement corrective actions when necessary. Conduct regular safety audits and assessments to minimize risks during the electrical commissioning process.
9. Project Handover: Coordinate the final handover of the electrical systems to the client. Ensure that all systems are fully operational, thoroughly tested, and meet the client's requirements before handover.
