Job summary

Greythr is seeking a QA/QC professional to lead Testing, Commissioning & Quality Assurance for MEP site works in Mumbai. You will develop and implement PQP/ITP, review method statements, and ensure adherence to project specs.

You will coordinate with main contractors, consultants, and subcontractors, conduct site inspections, manage NCRs/CAPA, and support audits and handover documentation.

Job description

Develop and implement the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and Inspection & Test Plan (ITP) for MEP works.

Review and verify method statements, work procedures, and material submittals for compliance with project specifications.

Maintain QA/QC documentation including checklists, inspection reports, and testing records.

2. Inspection & Testing:

Coordinate and conduct site inspections for Electrical installations.

Ensure all works are inspected and approved as per ITP and method statements before proceeding to the next stage.

3. Coordination & Communication:

Act as a liaison between the main contractor, consultants, and subcontractors & QA Department for quality-related issues.

Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure integrated system quality.

Attend quality coordination meetings and provide updates on QA/QC issues.

4. NCR & Corrective Action Management:

Identify and raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for deviations from quality standards.

Follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to close out NCRs.

Maintain a log of NCRs and report trends to the QA/QC Manager.

5. Compliance & Audits:

Ensure all Electrical activities comply with local codes, international standards, and project specifications.

Prepare for and assist in internal and external audits.

Implement and monitor QA/QC procedures and work instructions at the site.

Conduct toolbox talks and quality awareness training for site teams.

Recommend improvements in site procedures and quality control practices.

7. Final Handover & Documentation:

Assist in the preparation and review of as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and test reports for project handover.

Ensure all quality records are complete and handed over to the client/consultant.
