Job summary

Whirlpool India in Gurgaon is seeking a senior procurement leader to Lead India PMO and drive Sourcing excellence and Responsible Sourcing across strategic commodities. You will partner with business teams to deliver cost savings, quality, and reliable supply while promoting sustainability.

The role requires shaping frameworks, enforcing compliance, assessing supplier performance, mitigating risks, and presenting MIS reports to senior management.

Qualifications

• B Tech in Mechanical engineering required.
• MBA preferred for business alignment and strategy.
• Manufacturing process knowledge and commodity sourcing experience.
• Strong knowledge of procurement lifecycles and project management.

Responsibilities

• Lead India PMO organization on strategic initiatives and Responsible Sourcing pillars.
• Govern key programs for business growth and supplier performance.
• Design frameworks, enforce compliance, and drive value from sourcing projects.
• Ensure sourcing activities adhere to policies and legal standards.
• Identify and mitigate risks across vendor dependencies and supply chain.
• Advance sustainable sourcing programs including ScCoC and TPDD initiatives.
• Prepare MIS reports for management review.

The Procurement team identifies researches and evaluates suppliers that meet the organization's standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply. Recognizes and evaluate sales, promotional campaigns, and other opportunities to secure reduced prices. Assesses supplier's products to ensure that they comply with specifications and meet the organization's quality standards.

This Role In Summary

Lead and Drive Sourcing excellence (COE) and Responsible Sourcing strategies for sustainable, compliant and risk free sourcing.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead India PMO organization by working on various strategic initiatives and Responsible Sourcing pillars across Sourcing commodities.
• Be a core member of India organization driving and governing key programs for business growth.
• Designs frameworks, enforces compliance, and manages supplier performance to ensure sourcing projects deliver expected business value.
• Ensures that all sourcing activities adhere to organizational policies, legal standards.
• Identifies, assesses, and mitigates risks associated with vendor dependencies, supply chain disruptions, and contract failures across the project portfolio.
• Have proven ability to identify sustainable sourcing partners to drive programs like SCoC, TPDD etc to drive sustainable sourcing.
• Strong Business acumen to drive change management.
• Identify opportunities in the Digital procurement space for overall efficiency improvement.
• Strong governance on overall strategic and compliance initiatives.
• Prepare presentations and MIS reports for management review.
