Job summary

Whirlpool India is seeking a procurement professional to manage designated areas of sourcing work, build strong relationships with corporate and manufacturing stakeholders, and drive value through commodity strategies across the Finished Product space.

You will negotiate with suppliers, oversee total cost of ownership, coordinate production planning, release POs, and generate monthly MIS reports for leadership, while guiding cross-functional teams on new product launches and risk management.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree or Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders within corporate and factory levels and execute sourcing strategies for commodities to drive value.
• Execute the commodity strategy with alignment of relevant stakeholders in Finished Product Sourcing (Air conditioner, Washer, Microwave, Dishwasher, Air Purifier, Air Fryer, Water Purifier & others).
• Negotiate with external suppliers to secure advantageous terms and track key metrics to improve supplier effectiveness and manage supplier agreements.
• Manage Total Cost Of Ownership (BOM, Overall Cost Structure, Quality & logistics).
• Coordinate with internal & external partners to meet monthly/daily production plans, release purchase orders and generate monthly MIS reports to leadership.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and supplier partners to demonstrate Product Leadership of new launches and expectations of the company.
• Perform risk management regarding supply contracts and agreements.
• Analyze and identify opportunities to add value to FPS business through new initiatives in the commodity space.
• Create justification, communication and gain consensus for new projects to improve FPS performance.
• Demonstrate leadership in resolving conflicts within a cross-functional team.

The Procurement team identifies researches and evaluates suppliers that meet the organization's standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply. Recognizes and evaluate sales, promotional campaigns, and other opportunities to secure reduced prices. Assesses supplier's products to ensure that they comply with specifications and meet the organization's quality standards.

Your responsibilities will include

• Responsible for developing strong relationships with key stakeholders within the corporate and factory levels and executing sourcing strategies for commodities to drive value and significantly impact bottom-line profitability.
• Execute the commodity strategy with alignment of relevant stakeholders in the Finished Product Sourcing (Air conditioner, Washer, Microwave, Dishwasher, Air Purifier, Air Fryer, Water Purifier & others ) space
• Negotiate with external suppliers to secure the most advantageous terms and track key functional metrics to improve the effectiveness of suppliers and be accountable for supplier agreements
• Manage Total Cost Of Ownership ( BOM , Overall Cost Structure , Quality & logistics )
• Coordinate with internal & external business partners for meeting the monthly & daily production plan, releasing the Purchase order & generating the monthly MIS report to leadership
• Collaborate with key cross-functional stakeholders and supplier partners to demonstrate Product Leadership of new launches and expectations of the company
• Perform risk management regarding supply contracts and agreements
• Analysing and deciphering change/improvement opportunities to add value to business -Support new key value-based initiatives in the commodity space
• Creating justification, communication, and gaining consensus for new projects/initiatives to improve FPS business performance
• Can demonstrate good leadership abilities in managing conflicts among a cross-functional team

Minimum requirements

• 4-6 years relevant experience
• Bachelor's degree or Diploma or equivalent

Preferred skills and experiences

TECHNICAL

• Hands-on experience in SAP for PO generation, release, order monitoring, etc
• Knowledge about FPS costing/Total cost of ownership & reference cost analysis
• Deep understanding of FPS products, their sourcing & costs associated with it
• Negotiation Skill Set

MANAGERIAL
