Job summary

Aggreko in Pune is seeking a Senior Manager - Operational Procurement & SCM to lead end-to-end procurement operations, order fulfilment, logistics, and import/export activities for India manufacturing and the Global Supply Hub.

You will drive demand conversion to purchase orders, manage supplier commitments, oversee global orders, and ensure on-time-in-full delivery while implementing process improvements and ERP digitization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, SCM, operations or logistics.
• MBA or post‑grad qualification preferred.
• 15+ years in procurement, SCM, logistics or materials management.
• At least 5 years leading procurement or SCM teams in manufacturing.
• Strong import/export and supplier delivery management experience.
• Experience in global procurement operations is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.

Responsibilities

• Operational Procurement Leadership: Lead a team of operational buyers to convert demand into POs and ensure material availability.
• Global Order Management: Centralized coordination of global orders from India-based suppliers to support OTIF delivery.
• Supply Chain & Logistics Management: Oversee domestic and international logistics, optimize costs and ensure timely dispatch.
• EXIM & Trade Compliance: Manage import/export operations and customs compliance.
• Supplier Delivery Performance: Monitor and drive corrective actions and conduct performance reviews.
• Process Improvement & Digitalization: Standardize procurement processes and leverage ERP tools for visibility.

Bring your energy to Aggreko as Senior Manager - Operational Procurement & SCM. This role is responsible for leading the end-to-end execution of procurement operations, order fulfilment, logistics, and import/export activities supporting both Aggreko India's manufacturing operations and the Global Supply Hub. The role ensures that approved demand is converted into purchase orders, supplier commitments are effectively managed, and materials are delivered on time to support production, project, and customer requirements globally. The position serves as the central coordination point between Category Management, Suppliers, Operations, Planning, Logistics, EXIM, and Global Business stakeholders to ensure seamless material flow and superior service performance Power without pause. What you’ll do:

• Operational Procurement Leadership: Leading and managing a team of Operational Buyers to ensure timely conversion of demand into purchase orders, monitoring supplier commitments, and driving material availability to support production schedules.
• Global Order Management: Centralized coordination and proactive management of global orders from India-based suppliers, ensuring accurate tracking and driving On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) delivery performance.
• Supply Chain & Logistics Management: Leading domestic and international logistics operations, overseeing inbound and outbound transportation, optimizing costs, and ensuring timely dispatch and delivery of materials and finished goods.
• EXIM & Trade Compliance: Managing import and export operations, documentation, and customs compliance, ensuring adherence to international trade regulations and optimizing duties.
• Supplier Delivery Performance: Monitoring and driving corrective actions for supplier delivery performance, collaborating with Category Management and Supplier Development teams, and conducting regular performance reviews.
• Process Improvement & Digitalization: Developing and standardizing procurement and supply chain processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and leveraging ERP systems and digital tools for enhanced visibility and efficiency.

You are:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Logistics, or a related discipline.
• MBA or post-graduate qualification preferred.
• >15 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Materials Management.
• Minimum 5 years leading Operational Procurement or Supply Chain teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience in Import & Export operations, logistics management, and supplier delivery management.
• Experience supporting global procurement operations is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent.
