Job summary

Aggreko in Pune, India is hiring a Buyer - Operational Procurement to execute day-to-day procurement for manufacturing operations and Global Supply Hub requirements. You will convert requisitions to POs, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure material availability to support production and projects.

The role requires a 3–8 year track record in procurement, familiarity with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle), and supplier management experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, or business administration.
• 3–8 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, materials management, or supply chain.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent.
• Experience managing suppliers and purchase orders.
• Knowledge of logistics and import/export processes is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Convert approved demand into purchase orders and ensure timely issuing to suppliers.
• Monitor supplier acknowledgements and follow up to ensure on-time delivery.
• Manage supplier communication and delivery schedules; expedite critical orders as needed.
• Coordinate with Planning and Production to ensure material availability and inventory optimization.
• Coordinate with Logistics and EXIM for movement of materials and accurate procurement documentation.
• Track supplier performance and support reviews with data-driven reporting.

The Buyer - Operational Procurement is responsible for executing day-to-day procurement activities to support Aggreko India's manufacturing operations and Global Supply Hub requirements. The role ensures timely conversion of approved demand into purchase orders, effective supplier follow-up, order management, and material availability to support production, projects, and customer commitments.Power without pause.
