Abbott in India (Baddi) seeks a Senior Manager in Operational Excellence to lead deployment of Lean Six Sigma across the site and drive TPM-based improvements. Qualifications

  • Black-Belt/Master Black-Belt in Lean/Six-Sigma required; extensive manufacturing/TPM background.
  • Engineering Degree mandatory; extensive experience in plant operations and TPM.
  • Shopfloor experience in unionized factories essential; proven coaching of teams at all levels.
  • Strong data analytics and problem-solving skills; ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Willingness to relocate and adapt to changing factory needs.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate deployment of Operational Excellence program across site (ODF, LVP, hormone block).
  • Create Daily Management System design and ensure OMS adherence through health checks.
  • Lead and mentor Six Sigma projects; build capability and culture for Lean practices.
  • Track benefits, report balance scorecard results monthly, and exchange best practices with other sites.
  • Coach Green/Black Belts; drive TPM pillars and continuous improvement through structured trainings.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Division-Location : EPD-Baddi Department: Operational Excellence Designation Senior Manager Grade/Band: 3B Reporting to Plant Director Qualification: B.Tech. Experience (as on date) :18 Years

Core Job Responsibilities
  • Facilitate deployment of Operational Excellence Program across the site including ODF, LVP and new hormone block
  • Create Daily Management System Design and structure for the site and ensure adherence to OMS through a robust OMS health-check process.
  • To align KRA's in line with business vision, mission, and plant KRA's and facilitate development of individual KRA's.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects with a focus on WASTE elimination to improve quality, yields, reduce cycle times, cost, and achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Capability & Culture building to enable Business priorities and EPD strategy: ZERO Loss mindset on Safety, Quality, Material, Energy, and resources through creative sustained engagement program
  • Focused and prioritized trainings with proper business need identification on SMED, DFMEA, PFMEA, Green Belt, Yellow Belt, and White Belt etc.
  • Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Pillars launch in key Blocks. TPM progression management as per the agreed glidepath
  • Metrics and Process Benchmarking, Action Planning and Tracking to make the Site #1 Teach Influence and Motivate staff to apply Lean Six Sigma tools as problem solving approach.
  • Track and report projected benefits; create an open environment for learning and facilitate Business Excellence/Mentor Green Belts and Advocates for Lean Sigma Projects.
  • Establish Network with other sites /Functions to exchange knowledge and best practices both internally and externally.
  • Responsible for cultivating continuous improvement culture in plant.
  • Responsible for leading and supporting Excellence projects at site.
  • Work on Business problems that are complex and diverse in scope, and may include larger project sizes, multiple functions, and/or new technologies.
  • Report balance scorecard results monthly to the site and provide metrics results.
  • Mentors and consults other Lean professionals on successful completion of projects and objectives.
  • Responsible for overseeing Six Sigma certification training activity for the plant operations.
  • Network with EPO global sites for implementation of best practices.
  • Ability to take stand, influence key stakeholders to prioritize right-fit Bex initiatives for the factory.
  • Technically sound professional with Black-Belt/Master Black-belt in Lean/Six-sigma Engineering Degree with experience in manufacturing/engineering/TPM is a must.
  • Shopfloor experience in unionized factories is a must.
  • Ability to get things done with speed and agility.
  • Can-Do Attitude and willingnes.s to win.
  • People agility and strong influencing skills without using power.
  • Willingness to re-locate and scalability to take up other roles in factory.
  • Must have worked in a hi-pace and complex factory environment.
  • Proven Track record of coaching team members at all levels, strong influencing skills using logic and data analytics.
  • Ability to deep dive fast and data to insights
