Job summary

Sun Pharma is seeking a Senior Manager, Network Strategy for Sun Global Operations in Mumbai. Based at ACME Plaza, the role leads capacity planning and network optimization to meet business demand and supports site transfers and new product launches.

You will oversee supply planning, risk management, and cost optimization with cross-functional collaboration across R&D, Manufacturing and Commercial teams. Travel up to 40% is expected and a background in B.Tech Chemical / MSc Chemistry / MBA is

Qualifications

• 8–15 years of experience in chemical/pharma supply chain or related field.
• Educational qualifications include B.Tech Chemical, MSc Chemistry, or MBA.
• Travel up to 40% is expected.

Responsibilities

• Drive capacity planning and optimize plant utilization to meet business demand.
• Lead API campaign planning and align production plans with market requirements.
• Develop de-risking strategies and ensure continuity of supply.
• Partner with R&D, Manufacturing and Commercial teams to execute cost reduction initiatives and support timely commercial implementation.
• Drive planning process excellence through planning norms and master data governance.
• Lead development and management of the supply chain team.

Key responsibilities:

Capacity & Network Planning

• Drive capacity planning and optimize plant utilization to meet business demand.
• Support site transfers, product internalization, and network optimization initiatives.

Supply Planning

• Lead API campaign planning and align production plans with market requirements.
• Ensure supply readiness and capacity creation for new product launches, filing, validation, and query batches.

Business Continuity & Risk Management

• Develop de-risking strategies, including alternate sourcing and outsourcing options, to ensure continuity of supply.
• Proactively identify and resolve supply constraints and site-related risks.

Cost Optimization

• Partner with R&D, Manufacturing, and Commercial teams to execute cost reduction initiatives and support timely commercial implementation.

Supply Chain Excellence

• Drive planning process excellence through planning norms, master data governance, and cost-to-serve improvements.
• Lead resolution of chronic supply issues through cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement.

Responsible for Team Development & people Management
