Job summary

Adecco Portugal is recruiting for a Senior Manager / Manager Mission Systems & Payload Engineering in India. The role owns operation, maintenance, integration and development of mission systems and payloads for aerospace, defence and UAV/UAS platforms, from requirements through testing and productisation.

It requires multidisciplinary ownership, interfaces with OEMs and internal teams to ensure technologies are understood, integrated, validated and turned into internally controlled products.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in mission systems and payload engineering.
• Experience in aerospace/defense platforms and UAV/UAS integrations.
• Technical ownership across requirements, testing and productisation.

Responsibilities

• Own operation, maintenance, integration, technology absorption and development of mission systems and payloads from requirements through testing, qualification and productisation.
• Serve as technical owner of the vertical and interface with OEMs/external agencies and internal teams.
• Ensure technologies are understood, maintained, integrated, validated and converted into internally controlled products.
• Oversee EO/IR, thermal, imaging, LRF, radar and sensing systems, and related processing software/firmware.
• Coordinate UAV/UAS platform, GCS and ground-system integration; drive system-level improvements.

Senior Manager / Manager Mission Systems & Payload Engineering will own the operation, maintenance, integration, technology absorption and development of mission systems and payloads for aerospace, defence and UAV/UAS platforms, from requirements through testing, qualification and productisation.

The role will serve as the technical owner of the vertical and interface with OEMs/external agencies and internal engineering, manufacturing, quality and test teams, ensuring technologies are understood, maintained, integrated, validated and converted into internally controlled products.

The scope includes:

• EO/IR, thermal, imaging and LRF systems
• ESM / ECM and RF/electronic mission systems
• Radar and advanced sensing systems, including MPR / ISAR / SAR
• Mission electronics, processing, data handling and associated software/firmware
• RF/communication, power, mechanical, electrical and data interfaces
• UAV/UAS platform, GCS and ground-system integration
• Operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, trials, modification and product development

The role requires practical, multidisciplinary technical ownership, with the ability to interpret equipment documentation, identify field problems, absorb external technologies and drive system-level improvements.
