Job summary

NewSpace Research and Technologies is seeking a Project Planner/Controller to drive planning and control for UAV-focused initiatives, based in Bengaluru/Delhi NCR. • Experience in UAV industry and 1–2 years in driving project planning and control.
• Proficient with PM tools such as Microsoft Project, Wrike, ClickUp, Jira, SAP, including resource loading and critical path analysis.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to create concise summaries and reports.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace/Aeronautics or Mechanical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Plan project communications and meetings; facilitate updates and create Minutes of Meetings.
• Create and maintain project management documents per ISO/AS9100 standards.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering team to monitor technical progress.
• Track project health and schedule via WBS/task management tools.
• Monitor KPIs and milestones; generate reports for PM; share lessons learned.
• Identify and monitor project risks; coordinate with SE team on technical risks.
• Coordinate procurement with SCM and finance; monitor expenditures and budgets; provide periodic updates.
• Conduct market surveys and support submissions of EOI / RFP / RFQ and other bids.
• Create project status summaries and executive summaries to support management decisions.

Job description

W e are a start-up based out of Bengaluru & Delhi NCR. We are engaged in development of next generation missions and technologies (NGM&T) towards future warfare needs of the Indian defence forces. It is undertaking research towards enhancing persistence and autonomy for unmanned vehicles and robotic swarms. NRT’s product development portfolio includes a solar power stratospheric high altitude pseudo satellite (HAPS) unmanned platform and an air/ground launched stand-off autonomous system.

Roles and Responsibilities:

● Plan project communications – meetings, email etc. Facilitate key stakeholder updates. Create Minutes of Meetings.

● Create and maintain project management documents based on set templates according to ISO / AS9100 standards.

● Collaborate with the Systems Engineering(SE) Team to monitor and assess the technical progress of the project.

● Track project health and schedule as laid down in the WBS plans via task management / collaborative task management tools.

● Monitor KPIs / milestones laid down for the project. Generate a report for PM to review. Capture and share lessons learned through the execution of the project. Manage knowledge sharing between all stakeholders.

● Identify, report, and monitor project risks. Collaborate with Systems Engineering(SE) Team to assess technical risks.

● Work closely with the SCM and the finance teams to facilitate the procurement pertaining to the project. Monitor project expenditures and overall budget. Provide periodic updates via reports / dashboards.

● Conduct market surveys, gather information supporting submissions of EOI / RFP / RFQ and other bids and proposals.

● Creation of project status summary, project briefs, executive summaries etc. to facilitate management decisions.

Must have skills:

● Prior experience of working in the UAV industry.

● 1-2 years of experience in driving project planning and control roles.

● Has working knowledge of PM tools like Microsoft Project / Wrike / ClickUp / Jira / SAP etc along with resource loading and critical path analysis.

● Ability to work independently and productively with minimal supervision.

● Self driven and accountable for the delivery of work.

● Strong verbal and written communication skills.

● Ability to assimilate information and create concise summaries and reports.

● Bachelor’s Degree (Aerospace/Aeronautics, Mechanical) in Engineering.
