Job summary

IPS is seeking a Senior Manager, Life Sciences, to provide technical and commercial leadership for pharmaceutical, biotech, API, and sterile manufacturing projects from concept through validation at our Naraina Vihar, New Delhi office.

The role requires strong client relationship management, cross-disciplinary team leadership, and deep knowledge of GMP, FDA, and regulatory standards to drive project delivery and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, mechanical, pharmaceutical, industrial, or related engineering discipline.
• 15–20+ years of pharma, biotech, or life sciences project experience.
• Proven experience managing large-scale engineering, EPCM, or design projects.
• Strong understanding of GMP facilities, cleanrooms, validation, and regulatory compliance.
• Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead life sciences projects from concept to construction and validation.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and resource allocation.
• Oversee multidisciplinary engineering and project delivery teams.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Serve as the primary contact for pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Participate in business development activities, proposals, and project presentations.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables, process designs, P&IDs, and facility layouts.
• Ensure adherence to cGMP, FDA, MHRA, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Support equipment selection, procurement, commissioning, and qualification activities.
• Lead, mentor, and develop engineering and project management teams.
• Promote collaboration across process, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, automation, and CQV disciplines.
• Drive a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

In this role, you will responsible for the technical and commercial leadership of complex pharmaceutical, biotech, API, formulation, sterile manufacturing, laboratory, and research facility projects. The role involves client relationship management, project delivery oversight, team leadership, and ensuring compliance with global regulatory requirements such as GMP and FDA standards.

Position Responsibilities

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Pharmaceutical, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline.
• Typically 15-20+ years of experience in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, or life sciences projects.
• Proven experience managing large-scale engineering, EPCM, or design projects.
• Strong understanding of GMP facilities, cleanrooms, utilities, validation, and regulatory compliance.
• Master's degree preferred.
