Job summary

Kissht is seeking an experienced Chartered Accountant to lead audits across NBFC and FinTech businesses in Mumbai. The role focuses on risk-based auditing, RBI regulations, financial reporting and internal controls, with responsibility for planning, execution, reporting and stakeholder management.

The ideal candidate will have minimum 5 years post-qualification audit experience, with mandatory NBFC/FinTech and bank audit exposure, and strong leadership skills to mentor the audit team.

Qualifications

• Bank audits experience essential.
• Experience in treasury, lending operations, accounting and regulatory audits preferred.

Job description

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Chartered Accountant to lead and oversee the Company's various audits like Concurrent Audit, Internal Audit, Outsourcing Audit, etc across its NBFC and FinTech businesses. The role requires strong expertise in risk-based auditing, RBI regulations, financial reporting, accounting, and operational processes. The selected candidate will be responsible for driving audit planning, execution, reporting, stakeholder management and

strengthening the internal control framework.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee various audits & regulatory assignments across the NBFC and FinTech businesses.
• Develop and execute risk-based audit plans covering financial, operational, regulatory and technology-driven processes.
• Evaluate the adequacy and operating effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements to strengthen governance and risk management.
• Review the lending lifecycle including sourcing, underwriting, disbursement, collections, treasury, finance, accounting, vendor management and customer servicing processes.
• Evaluate compliance with RBI Master Directions, Digital Lending Guidelines, Outsourcing
• Guidelines, Fair Practices Code, colending and other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Review accounting processes, financial reporting, taxation, books of accounts and financial controls to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
• Assess compliance with Internal Financial Controls (IFC), Risk Control Matrices (RCMs) and enterprise risk management practices.
• Review outsourcing arrangements, vendor governance and third-party risk management processes.
• Identify process gaps, control weaknesses and regulatory non-compliances and recommend practical corrective actions.
• Prepare high-quality audit reports, present audit observations to senior management and monitor closure of audit findings.
• Coordinate with business functions to ensure timely implementation of agreed action plans.
• Liaise with statutory auditors, internal auditors, concurrent auditors and regulatory inspectors during audits and inspections.
• Mentor and supervise audit team members while ensuring timely completion of audit assignments.

What we're looking for:

• Chartered Accountant (CA) Mandatory.
• Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in field of Audit.
• Mandatory experience in NBFC and FinTech audits.
• Prior experience in Bank Audits is essential.
• Experience in treasury, lending operations, accounting, finance and regulatory audits will be preferred.
• Strong planning, leadership and team management capabilities.
• Experience in leveraging AI tools for audit execution, data analysis and process automation will be an added advantage.
• Good understanding of lending operations, treasury, financial statement closure process and investment accounting.
