Job summary

LR Energy is seeking an experienced Lead Instrumentation/Control Engineer to steer design and review of electrical systems and coordinate PMC/EPC interfaces. You will oversee SLDs, cable schedules, and DCS/PLC/SCADA interfaces while ensuring compliance with project drawings and standards.

You will lead discipline teams across process, mechanical, civil and instrumentation; monitor commissioning readiness and drive resolution of critical site issues. Strong leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading instrumentation/control engineering projects.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Knowledge of PSA technology and gas separation processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and review of SLDs, load lists, cables, layouts and earthing docs.
• Review contractor/submissions and coordinate comments and approvals.
• Coordinate electrical interfaces with process, mechanical, civil and instrumentation.
• Monitor HT/LT installation and verify against drawings and specs.
• Coordinate inspection, testing, pre-commissioning and commissioning readiness.
• Address power supply, transformers, panels, cables, earthing issues.
• Track statutory approvals and coordination.
• Monitor punch points, test records and as-built documentation.
• Participate in progress meetings and resolve site issues.
• Guide electrical engineers and PMC project team priorities.

Job description

Job Purpose Lead instrumentation/control engineering and PMC/EPC coordination.

Key Responsibilities Review instrument index, I/O lists, control philosophy, datasheets, layouts and cable schedules; coordinate DCS/PLC/SCADA interfaces; review vendor documents; monitor installation/testing and technical punch-point closure.

Job Role:

• Lead Design & Review of SLDs, load lists, cable schedules, electrical layouts, earthing/lightning and associated electrical documents.
• Review contractor/vendor technical submissions and coordinate comments, approvals and interface requirements.
• Coordinate electrical interfaces with process, mechanical, civil and instrumentation disciplines.
• Monitor HT/LT electrical installation and verify execution against approved drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
• Coordinate inspection, testing, pre-commissioning and commissioning readiness.
• Review technical issues related to power supply, transformers, panels, cables, earthing and associated systems.
• Track statutory/approval requirements and support relevant coordination.
• Monitor electrical punch points, test records, as-built documentation and final dossier requirements.
• Participate in project progress/technical meetings and support resolution of critical site issues.
• Guide electrical engineers and coordinate discipline priorities with the PMC project team.
