Job summary

LR Energy is seeking a Lead Instrumentation/Control Engineer to oversee instrumentation and control engineering activities, review vendor documents, and coordinate PMC/EPC interfaces on site in Haryana. You will monitor installation, calibration, and testing, ensuring adherence to approved drawings and relevant standards.

Responsibilities include driving punch-point closure, managing as-built drawings and handover documentation, and guiding discipline teams through commissioning and site

Qualifications

• Experience in instrumentation and control engineering.
• Knowledge of DCS/PLC/SCADA interfaces and vendor documents.
• Strong coordination with multiple disciplines on site.

Responsibilities

• Review instrument index, I/O lists and control philosophy against specs.
• Assess PLC/DCS/SCADA documents for tender compliance.
• Review vendor submissions and follow up for closure.
• Coordinate instrumentation interfaces with process, electrical, mechanical and piping.
• Monitor installation, cable laying and terminations to drawings and quality requirements.
• Witness calibration, loop checking and functional testing; support commissioning.
• Identify discrepancies and deviations; seek approved resolutions.
• Maintain inspection/test records and punch lists; track closures.
• Verify as-built drawings, O&M manuals and handover docs.
• Participate in site meetings and report progress to discipline lead/RCM.

Job Role:

• Review instrument index, I/O lists, control philosophy, datasheets, layouts and cable schedules under the guidance of the discipline lead.
• Review PLC/DCS/SCADA documents for compliance with tender requirements, approved specifications and applicable standards.
• Review contractor/vendor submissions, prepare technical comments and follow up for closure.
• Coordinate instrumentation interfaces with process, electrical, mechanical and piping disciplines.
• Monitor instrument installation, junction boxes, cable laying, termination and associated works against approved drawings and quality requirements.
• Witness calibration, loop checking and functional testing, and support commissioning activities.
• Identify site discrepancies, technical queries and deviations, and follow up for approved resolution.
• Maintain inspection reports, test records and punch lists, and track closure of pending works.
• Verify as-built drawings, O&M manuals and final handover documentation.
• Participate in technical/site meetings and report progress, quality concerns and pending issues to the discipline lead/RCM.
