Job summary

One Story is seeking a senior finance professional to lead the financial reporting, consolidation, and audits across multiple locations in Mumbai. You will ensure compliance with Ind AS/IFRS, coordinate internal and statutory audits, and drive accurate monthly closings and management reporting.

Ideal candidates have extensive exposure to complex accounting standards, consolidations, and advisory on financial instruments, leases, and group reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial reporting and accounting activities across all locations, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timely closure.
• Drive monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting in accordance with applicable Ind AS/IFRS and global reporting requirements.
• Lead the monthly consolidation of books and financial statements across various locations/entities.
• Prepare and review monthly Balance Sheet, reconciliations and key account RECOs, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding items.
• Coordinate and manage internal and statutory audits across all locations, ensuring smooth completion and timely closure of audit queries.
• Act as a key point of contact for auditors and internal stakeholders on standalone and consolidated financial statements.
• Monitor compliance with applicable accounting standards, financial reporting policies and internal controls.
• Identify and implement changes arising from new or revised reporting standards and ensure alignment with global reporting formats.
• Prepare and finalise monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts, including appropriate closing entries and adjustments.
• Prepare monthly MIS and financial analysis as per management requirements.
• Review complex accounting transactions and prepare accounting memos with appropriate technical analysis.
• Provide accounting advisory on areas such as financial instruments, leases, ESOPs, securities, loans, business combinations and consolidation.
• Handle accounting matters relating to Ind AS 103/110, IFRS, US GAAP ASC 740 (deferred taxes) and ASC 842 (leases), as applicable.
• Conduct financial statement reviews and advise finance teams on appropriate accounting treatment for complex business transactions.
• Facilitate technical sessions and knowledge-sharing initiatives on Ind AS/IFRS and financial reporting developments.
• Manage and monitor Capex across all locations, including accounting, tracking, reporting and coordination with relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure timely completion of financial closing, reporting, reconciliations and audit requirements across locations.
• Work closely with Finance, Business, Global Reporting and Audit teams to ensure consistent and high-quality financial reporting.
