Job summary

Smartworks in Gurugram is seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage financial reporting, ICFR sign-off, and internal controls, ensuring compliance with Ind AS/IFRS.

You will lead audits, perform variance analysis, and drive process improvements, monitoring regulatory changes and coordinating with auditors.

Responsibilities include ensuring accurate reconciliations, preparing MIS reports, and driving automation to enhance efficiency across finance functions.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and interpret accounting records, financial statements, and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with reporting standards.
• Ensure financial accounting and reporting as per Ind AS/IFRS, including knowledge of IFRS 9, 15, and 16.
• Perform variance analysis for P&L and balance sheet movements.
• Prepare MIS reports and dashboards for senior management.
• Lead process improvement and automation initiatives to drive efficiency.
• Ensure timely reconciliations and address open items effectively.
• Coordinate and facilitate internal and external audits, addressing any findings and implementing necessary corrective actions.
• Act as independent controller for assigned area of operation
• Own and drive the internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) sign-off process.
• Ensure compliance with statutory guidelines and financial regulations
• Monitor evolving financial regulations, taxation policies, and legal updates relevant to the industry.
