Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chartered Accountant to join our Finance & Accounts team as a Senior Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end financial reporting, general ledger accounting, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), budgeting, forecasting, and management information systems (MIS). This role requires a strong practical knowledge of Ind AS, financial statement preparation, accounting controls, and financial analysis to ensure accurate and timely financial information for senior management. The incumbent will also play a key role in supporting finance-process improvements and the effective use of ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities

A. Financial Reporting and Ind AS Compliance

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Ind AS and Schedule III of the Companies Act, 2013.
• Ensure appropriate accounting treatment and classification of financial transactions.
• Review trial balances, accounting estimates, provisions, and other financial adjustments for accuracy.
• Prepare financial statements, supporting schedules, disclosures, and reconciliations for management reporting and audits.

B. General Ledger Accounting and Financial Closure

• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities within prescribed timelines.
• Oversee GL accounting, ledger scrutiny, and appropriate classification of income, expenses, assets, and liabilities.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations, including bank accounts, intercompany balances, and fixed assets.
• Resolve accounting discrepancies and maintain supporting documentation and audit trails.

C. Annual Business Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting

• Lead the preparation of the Annual Business Plan (ABP) and annual operating budget with business and functional heads.
• Consolidate budgets for revenue, employee costs, operating expenses, capital expenditure, and profitability.
• Prepare periodic forecasts and revised projections based on actual performance and business requirements.
• Develop financial models, scenario analyses, and sensitivity analyses to assess performance and financial risks.

D. Financial Analysis and Variance Reporting

• Analyse Actuals versus Budget, Actuals versus Forecast, and period-on-period performance.
• Review variances in revenue, operating expenses, gross margin, EBITDA, and other key metrics.
• Identify root causes of variances and obtain explanations from business teams for significant deviations.
• Prepare monthly variance reports, dashboards, and management presentations highlighting risks and opportunities.

E. MIS and Management Reporting

• Prepare monthly MIS covering Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, cash flow, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Develop dashboards and reports that provide visibility into financial performance, cost trends, and business growth.
• Present results, forecast updates, and actionable insights to senior management to support decision-making.

F. Audit, Compliance and Internal Controls

• Coordinate with statutory and internal auditors to support timely completion of audits.
• Prepare audit schedules, supporting documentation, and responses to audit queries.
• Support compliance with applicable Ind AS, Companies Act requirements, and other statutory obligations.
• Review financial processes and controls, and coordinate implementation of corrective actions.

G. ERP Systems and Process Improvement

• Use ERP systems to support accurate accounting and timely financial reporting.
• Demonstrate practical knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and SAP Business One (SAP B1).
• Work with ERP modules including General Ledger, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Banking, and Cost Centres.
• Support ERP implementation, enhancements, testing, and finance-process improvements.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive activities and streamline reconciliations.
