Job summary

ZF Rane Automotive in Chennai is seeking an experienced Chartered Accountant to lead finance planning, reporting, and analytics. You will drive budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range financial planning, while partnering with operations to enable strategic decisions and cost optimization.

The role requires strong expertise in SAP FI/CO, ERP systems, and advanced Excel; Power BI experience is advantageous for automated reporting and executive dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports, dashboards, and MIS for senior leadership.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, annual operating plans, and long-range financial planning.
• Perform detailed variance analysis of revenue, manufacturing costs, overheads, margins, and profitability.
• Analyse plant financial performance and provide actionable insights to improve business outcomes.
• Partner with business, operations, and plant leadership to support strategic financial decision-making.
• Develop financial models, profitability analysis, and business case evaluations for new projects and investments.
• Monitor key financial KPIs, cost optimization initiatives, and working capital performance.
• Lead month-end and year-end financial reporting, ensuring timely and accurate management information.
• Support Board reviews, business review meetings, and leadership presentations with meaningful financial analytics.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting processes, automation, and reporting efficiency using ERP systems and analytical tools.

Preferred candidate profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 1012 years of post-qualification experience.
• Mandatory experience in the Manufacturing Industry and desired is Automotive industry.
• Exposure to manufacturing cost analysis, inventory valuation, product costing, and plant finance.
• Proficiency in SAP (FI/CO), ERP systems, and Advanced Excel; Power BI or similar reporting tools will be an added advantage.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills with a proactive and business-oriented approach
