Job summary

Qualifications

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant with 10+ years of experience in financial management, costing, budgeting, statutory compliance, taxation and financial reporting within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and statutory compliance including GST and Companies Act.
  • Demonstrated expertise in costing, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting with business partnering skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead finance and accounting operations for manufacturing; ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements per applicable standards.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closings and drive internal controls and SOPs.
  • Drive cost optimization, inventory valuation, WIP, BOM costing, and production cost analysis.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Senior Finance Manager to lead the finance and accounting function for our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate should be a qualified Chartered Accountant with over 10 years of progressive experience in financial management, costing, budgeting, statutory compliance, taxation, and financial reporting within a manufacturing environment. The role requires strong business partnering skills, commercial acumen, and expertise in driving financial controls and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the finance and accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.
  • Develop and monitor financial policies, internal controls, and SOPs.
Costing & Manufacturing Finance
  • Manage product costing, standard costing, and variance analysis.
  • Monitor inventory valuation, WIP, BOM costing, and production cost analysis.
  • Drive cost optimization initiatives and improve manufacturing profitability.
  • Analyze production efficiency and support operational decision-making.
Budgeting & Financial Planning
  • Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
  • Perform financial planning, budgeting, and profitability analysis.
  • Monitor budget performance and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare MIS reports and dashboards for senior management.
Compliance & Taxation
  • Ensure compliance with GST, Income Tax, Companies Act, and other statutory regulations.
  • Coordinate statutory, tax, internal, and cost audits.
  • Liaise with auditors, bankers, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure timely filing of statutory returns and regulatory reports.
Treasury & Working Capital
  • Manage cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning.
  • Optimize working capital through effective management of receivables, payables, and inventory.
  • Coordinate with banks for credit facilities, banking operations, and financial documentation.
  • Strengthen internal financial controls and governance.
  • Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with internal audit recommendations.
Business Partnering
  • Collaborate with production, procurement, supply chain, sales, and operations teams.
  • Support strategic initiatives through financial analysis and business insights.
  • Present financial performance and recommendations to senior leadership.
Team Management
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
