Position Summary

SynapsIQ is seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager – Engineering to lead large-scale Telecom OSP and FTTH/FTTx design projects. This leadership role combines deep technical expertise in outside plant engineering with strong people management, client interaction, and project governance capabilities.

Detailed Job Description

In this role, you will oversee and manage engineering teams delivering end-to-end OSP fiber design and FTTH/FTTx planning projects, including F1, F2, and F3 architecture. You will interact directly with clients in recurring meetings, provide technical resolutions, ensure compliance with AT&T standards, and drive quality across all deliverables. You will lead workforce planning, perform route analysis, review pole loading, and prepare dashboards with key performance indicators. This position is ideal for a senior technical leader who excels in complex telecom design environments and has hands‑on experience in AT&T programs and GIS-based network planning.

Key Responsibilities

• ✓ Lead and manage OSP/FTTH engineering teams across multiple projects
• ✓ Conduct daily client and stakeholder calls to track progress and resolve technical challenges
• ✓ Recruit, train, and mentor OSP engineers, designers, and planners
• ✓ Drive cost optimization and resource utilization across project teams

• ✓ Lead end-to‑end design for FTTH/FTTx (FTTP, FTTN) including F1, F2, F3 network layers
• ✓ Perform Aerial vs. Underground route analysis and cost modeling

• ✓ Execute additional engineering or leadership tasks as required

Required Qualifications & Skills

• ✓ B.E./B.Tech in E&C, E&TC, EEE, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering
• ✓ 7–10 years of experience in Telecom OSP / FTTH / FTTx engineering
• ✓ Mandatory experience working on AT&T projects, including AT&T design tools, standards, and permitting processes
• ✓ Strong proficiency in GIS tools such as IQGEO and QGIS
• ✓ Hands‑on experience in OSP fiber design, drafting, and network planning
• ✓ Strong leadership and team management capabilities
• ✓ Excellent communication and client‑facing skills
• ✓ Ability to work effectively in US time zone (Night Shift)
