The Technical Lead Engineer is responsible for leading OSP design, engineering,, ensuring quality and accuracy in fielding-related software such as IQGEO and Katapult worked on AT&T project. This role guides engineers to deliver client-ready outputs and acts as the technical point of contact between fielding teams, backend engineers, project managers, and clients. Urgently hiring for a experienced Greenfield MDU expert for AT&T fiber project. An Experienced OSP Design Engineer but should be very good with F2 distribution projects specifically F2 Greenfield MDU projects.
Details
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing the installation of outside plant (OSP) infrastructure, focusing on the design and implementation of F2 (fiber-to-the-curb) distribution networks for greenfield developments. This includes designing fiber optic networks, managing project timelines, coordinating with various teams, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of OSP fiber optic networks, including F2 distribution systems, for new (greenfield) developments.
- Create detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and layouts for the fiber optic network infrastructure, ensuring that they meet design specifications, technical requirements, and customer needs.
- Perform detailed fiber network planning, route optimization, and calculation of fiber counts, ensuring efficient network expansion.
- Work closely with the project management team to ensure all OSP design work is delivered on time, within budget, and meets the client's requirements.
- Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring timely completion of design packages, permitting, and construction activities.
- Oversee and participate in site surveys, evaluating existing conditions and providing recommendations for infrastructure development in greenfield areas.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Telecom / Electrical / IT Engineering or a related field
Experience
- 4–5 years of experience in OSP / Telecom design and with AT&T project.
- Experience mentoring or guiding junior OSP engineers is preferred

- Aramis and Autocad
- IQGEO
- Google Earth / GIS tools
- Utility standards (NESC and client-specific standards)
- QA/QC frameworks for OSP design
