Job summary

JobItUs is seeking a Senior Manager / DGM – Tracks for Mumbai to oversee the smooth operations and maintenance of track systems, switches and related infra under DLP compliance. The role requires leading maintenance programs, budget planning and coordination with GoI authorities.

The ideal candidate holds a BE/BTech in Civil Engineering with 15–20 years of experience in railway or metro track construction and related infra projects.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech Civil Engineering from a reputed institute.
• 15–20 years of experience in railway/metro construction and infra projects, specific to Tracks system.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement preventive and corrective maintenance of track.
• Prepare MMOPL's annual Track budget that is aligned with the maintenance requirements & get approval on it.
• Develop strategy & management on the status of ongoing supply & demand of track equipment or spare parts.
• Monitor, review, evaluate the budget on regular interval and take corrective measures; effectively manage the budget within approve limits and timelines.
• Conduct periodic maintenance audits pertaining all the rail/track systems for its safe efficient functioning and implement the track up gradation/repair works in case of any defects
• Review & Monitor to ensure the preventive & corrective maintenance of track is being carried out effectively .
• Timely inspection to assess the conciliation of mainline track. Initiate the preventive/corrective steps based on the assessment.
• Ensure staff under control are aware of their responsibilities, latest procedures, manuals and policy
• Initiate, recommend or provide solutions to issues relating to the track and buildings maintenance procedures
• Review and monitor the preventive maintenance schedule for tracks & based on MIS resolve grey areas for improvement, if any.
• Establish strategic relationships with GoI authorities like MMRDA, GoM officials, General Consultant (GC), statutory auditors, to ensure smooth execution of work.
• Collaborates with local vendors & contractors, for smooth execution of Network Augmentation Plans.
• Nurture talent and foster meritocracy to achieve high levels of Performance, productivity and employee engagement
• Provide timely technical training and assistance for smooth functioning of the Division.
