UMA Polymers Ltd. seeks an experienced Senior Manager Costing & MIS to lead product costing, manufacturing cost analysis and profitability monitoring. The role requires close coordination with Production, Purchase, Stores, Sales and Finance to improve cost efficiency and support management decisions.

The candidate will drive standard cost updates, variance analysis and cost control, while delivering timely MIS dashboards and management reports to guide budgeting and pricing decisions.

Aufgaben

• Lead product-wise, customer-wise, and SKU-wise costing for flexible packaging products.
• Prepare and review cost sheets covering raw materials, packaging, labour, power, overheads, wastage and conversion costs.
• Monitor raw material consumption, yield, wastage, rejection, and scrap recovery.
• Review and update standard costs based on raw material prices, processes and operating costs.
• Analyse actual manufacturing costs against standard costs and identify deviations.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities across production, procurement, inventory and manufacturing operations.
• Analyse material price and consumption variances, production efficiency, wastage, overhead absorption.
• Coordinate with plant teams to investigate cost deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor cost per unit, machine utilisation, material yield, and other manufacturing KPIs.
• Prepare daily, monthly, and periodic costing and MIS reports for management review.
• Develop reports on product profitability, contribution margins, production performance and cost trends.
• Analyse order-wise costing against actual execution costs.
• Prepare dashboards and highlight deviations, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Ensure timely, accurate reporting to management.
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting and budget-versus-actual analysis.
• Prepare product pricing and quotation costing to support Sales decisions.
• Analyse customer-wise and product-wise profitability.
• Evaluate financial impact of raw material price changes and production volumes.

About the Role

UMA Polymers Ltd. is looking for an experienced Senior Manager Costing & MIS to lead product costing, manufacturing cost analysis, profitability monitoring, cost control, and management reporting. The role requires close coordination with Production, Purchase, Stores, Sales, and Finance to improve cost efficiency and support management decisions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product & Manufacturing Costing

• Lead product-wise, customer-wise, and SKU-wise costing for flexible packaging products.
• Prepare and review cost sheets covering raw materials, packaging materials, labour, power, manufacturing overheads, wastage, and conversion costs.
• Monitor raw material consumption, yield, wastage, rejection, and scrap recovery.
• Review and update standard costs based on changes in raw material prices, production processes, and operating costs.
• Analyse actual manufacturing costs against standard costs and identify deviations.

2. Cost Control & Variance Analysis

• Identify cost-saving opportunities across production, procurement, inventory, and manufacturing operations.
• Analyse material price and consumption variances, production efficiency, wastage, and overhead absorption.
• Coordinate with plant teams to investigate cost deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor cost per unit, machine utilisation, material yield, and other manufacturing performance indicators.

3. MIS & Management Reporting

• Prepare daily, monthly, and periodic costing and MIS reports for management review.
• Develop reports on product profitability, contribution margins, production performance, and cost trends.
• Analyse order-wise costing against actual execution costs.
• Prepare dashboards and highlight significant deviations, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and reliable reporting to management.

4. Budgeting & Financial Analysis

• Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and budget-versus-actual analysis.
• Prepare product pricing and quotation costing to support Sales and commercial decisions.
• Analyse customer-wise and product-wise profitability.
• Evaluate the financial impact of raw material price changes, production volumes, and changes in product specifications.

5. Inventory & Internal Controls

• Monitor inventory valuation, stock reconciliation, ageing, and slow-moving inventory.
• Ensure accuracy of costing-related data in ERP systems.
• Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Stores, and Accounts to validate material consumption and inventory records.
• Support internal audits, statutory audits, and cost audit requirements, wherever applicable.

6. Team Management & Coordination

• Lead and guide the costing and MIS team.
• Establish standard processes for costing, reporting, and variance analysis.
• Work closely with senior management and cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
• Drive automation and process improvements in costing and MIS reporting.

Candidate Profile

• Qualification: CMA / ICWA / CA preferred
• Experience: Approximately 4-8 years of relevant experience in costing, preferably at a managerial or senior managerial level in manufacturing.
• Experience in flexible packaging, plastics, polymers, printing, or a related manufacturing industry will be preferred.
• Strong knowledge of product costing, standard costing, manufacturing cost analysis, variance analysis, and profitability.
• Excellent command of MS Excel, including Pivot Tables, advanced formulas, and MIS reporting.
• Working knowledge of ERP-based costing and inventory systems is required; SAP or similar ERP experience is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, team management, and cross-functional coordination skills.
