Job description

The Senior Manager will take ownership of major CLeF programmes, including the Ahmedabad Grand Challenges Programme (AGCP), as well as support the development of new initiatives for faculty, students, schools, and external partners. The role will require working closely with faculty, students, schools, external organisations, and University colleagues and will involve considerable independence, initiative, and responsibility.

Responsibilities
1. Programme Leadership and Management
  • Take ownership of the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of major CLeF programmes, including AGCP and other faculty, student, and external programmes.
  • Develop systems and processes that enable programmes to scale efficiently and maintain a high quality of participant experience.
  • Coordinate with internal University departments and external partners to ensure smooth programme delivery.
  • Lead on-ground operations for residential and off-campus programmes, including travel, accommodation, student welfare, and emergency coordination.
2. AI and Learning Innovation
  • Work with the CLeF team to identify and develop opportunities for using AI and other emerging technologies to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Support faculty and students in exploring and implementing AI-enabled tools, workflows, and pedagogical approaches.
  • Help design and deliver workshops, courses, and experiential learning opportunities around AI literacy and AI-enabled learning.
  • Stay current with developments in generative AI, AI tools, agentic systems, and other emerging technologies and assess their relevance to the University's educational context.
  • Support the development of prototypes, pilots, and other experimental initiatives at the intersection of AI and education.
3. Outreach and External Engagement
  • Lead outreach and engagement with schools, colleges, educational institutions, and other external stakeholders for CLeF programmes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with partner institutions and organisations.
  • Represent CLeF at external events, meetings, workshops, and programme visits.
  • Develop strategies to expand the reach and visibility of CLeF's programmes.
  • Work with the Co Director to conceptualise and develop new programmes for faculty, students, schools, and other learners.
  • Translate emerging opportunities in education and technology into viable programmes and initiatives.
  • Contribute to proposals, presentations, reports, and other materials for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualification
  • A postgraduate degree with 6–8 years of relevant experience, preferably in programme management, higher education, technology or a related field.
  • Candidates with experience in managing educational programmes, working with schools or universities, developing technology-enabled learning initiatives, or working in education/technology organisations will be preferred.
  • An understanding of Artificial Intelligence and its applications in education will be strongly preferred.
