Job summary

M2P Fintech in Chennai is seeking a Senior Manager for Payments to define and scale payment products across UPI, P2P/P2M, merchant payments, and gateways. You will own strategy, roadmap, and execution for payments used by banks, fintechs, and enterprises.

You will lead cross-functional teams—engineering, design, compliance, operations, and business—and drive end-to-end product lifecycles with a focus on high performance and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 3+ years in payments/fintech/banking products.
• Strong understanding of digital payment systems (UPI, IMPS, NEFT, card payments, PPI, PGs).
• Experience with APIs, technical product flows, and third-party integrations.
• Ability to translate complex business and technical concepts into clear product requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and storytelling skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management for internal and external partners.
• Ability to operate in fast-paced, high-scale environments.

About the Role

M2P Fintech is looking for dynamic Senior Manager for Payments who can define, build, and scale robust payment products across UPI, P2P/P2M, merchant payments, payment gateways, and other digital payment rails.

As the Product Manager for Payments, you will own the strategy, roadmap, and execution of payment products used by banks, fintech, and enterprise customers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams—engineering, design, compliance, operations, and business—to deliver high-performing, compliant, and scalable payment experiences.

What Will You Do in this Role

• Define and evolve the product vision for M2P’s payment product offerings.
• Build scalable product roadmaps aligned with business goals and regulatory frameworks.
• Translate customer and stakeholder requirements into clear product specifications and user flows.
• Work with engineering teams to deliver high-quality features within timelines.
• Own end-to-end product lifecycle: concept → design → development → testing → launch → iteration.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory mandates from partner banks while collaborating with risk, compliance, and legal teams to embed safeguards within product workflows.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in the payments landscape—UPI enhancements, card tokenization, policies, etc.
• Act as the primary product owner for bank partners, fintech clients, and internal business units.
• Conduct product demos, gather feedback, and support integrations with external customers.
• Coordinate with design teams to craft intuitive payment experiences.
• Monitor product performance using KPIs such as transaction success rates, latency, adoption metrics, and revenues.
• Use data insights to optimize user journeys and product performance.
• Drive continuous improvement through experimentation and feedback loops.

What You’ll Need to be Successful in this Role

• 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 3+ years in payments, fintech, or banking products.
• Strong understanding of digital payment systems such as UPI, IMPS, NEFT, PPI, PGs, card payments, or payout systems.
• Experience working with APIs, technical product flows, and third-party integrations.
• Ability to translate complex business and technical concepts into structured product requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and storytelling skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management for internal and external partners.
• Ability to operate in fast-paced, high-scale environments.

Good-to-Have

• Experience working with banks, NPCI systems, or payment processor platforms.
• Exposure to risk scoring, fraud prevention, or transaction monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of global payment rails (Visa, Mastercard, cross-border systems).
• Prior experience in SaaS or API-first product companies.
