Job summary

Axtria - Ingenious Insights in Pune seeks an experienced Associate Director to lead cloud data management initiatives for pharma commercial data. You will drive end-to-end data solutions, from data modeling and governance to warehousing and BI readiness.

The role requires deep hands-on expertise with AWS, Snowflake, Redshift, and ETL tools, plus strong Python fundamentals. You will mentor teams, coordinate with clients, and shape delivery strategies across global pharma projects.

Qualifications

• 13+ years of experience delivering customer-focused Cloud Data Management solutions in Life Science (Pharma) industry.
• Hands-on with AWS Cloud, Snowflake, Redshift; ETL tools like Informatica/Matillion; Python.
• Experience across pharma commercial data domains including Retail, Non-Retail Sales, Patient Data, Digital Marketing Data.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and deliver complex Data Warehousing, Data Mart, and Data Integration solutions on Snowflake on AWS/Azure cloud.
• Gather requirements directly from clients or project teams across pharmaceutical data domains.
• Architect and develop ETL/ELT pipelines on cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
• Provide delivery leadership, manage risks, ensure quality, and coordinate with clients and onshore counterparts.
• Apply analytical thinking to data assessment, troubleshooting, and solving complex scenarios.
• Communicate effectively with clients to manage expectations and milestones.
• Understand Axtria’s product/service portfolio to align data solutions with client needs.

Candidate must have prior hands-on working experience in technologies such as AWS Cloud services, Snowflake, Redshift, ETL tools like Informatica/Matillion, Python with strong fundamentals in Enterprise Data Management, Data Warehousing, Data Governance and Data Modelling concepts.

Should have prior experience in driving Cloud Data Management solutions across Pharma Commercial data domains like Retail and Non-Retail Sales, Patient data, Digital Marketing Data.

Must have a very good understanding of end-to-end pharma commercial landscape covering both enterprise and syndicated data sets.

Responsibilities

• Technology: Independently design, implement, and deliver complex Data Warehousing, Data Mart, and Data Integration solutions on Snowflake, hosted on either AWS or Azure.
• Requirements Gathering: Effectively understand and interpret requirements directly from clients or from project teams, particularly across pharmaceutical commercial data domains.
• Technical Design & Development: Architect and develop simple to highly complex ETL/ELT pipelines on AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
• Delivery Leadership: Oversee day-to-day delivery of major engagements, providing hands-on technical leadership to the team. Manage risks, ensure quality, and coordinate closely with clients and onshore counterparts.
• Analytical Thinking: Apply strong analytical and logical reasoning to assess data, troubleshoot issues, and evaluate complex situations.
• Client Relationship Management: Independently or collaboratively manage client communications and expectations. Ensure timely delivery of planned outcomes and demonstrate excellent communication skills.
• Business Development: Understand Axtria’s broader product and service portfolio to align solutions that best support client needs. Contribute to large cloud data management opportunities within the Life Sciences domain.
• Communication: Clearly and accurately articulate ideas and information in both written and verbal formats.

Desirable Qualities

• Technical Expertise: Proven hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, Snowflake, Redshift, and ETL tools such as IICS or DBT. Strong proficiency in Python and solid fundamentals in Enterprise Data Management, Data Warehousing, Data Governance, and Data Modeling.
• Domain Knowledge: Prior experience implementing Cloud Data Management solutions within pharmaceutical commercial data domains, including Retail and Non-Retail Sales, Patient Data, and Digital Marketing Data.
• Industry Understanding: Deep understanding of the end-to-end pharma commercial ecosystem, spanning both enterprise datasets and syndicated data sources.
